This little pub has recently had a refurbishment and we found it absolutely delightful. Enjoyable ambience, friendly staff and tasty food. They have a good range of wines to choose from. Watch the "high step" to get in and out of the front door.

Old style English pub with lots of comfortable seating in a very old building. Our server was excellent with good descriptions of the food and a helping hand in beer selections. We had a couple small dishes. The rabbit was very good.

I live just around the corner and love coming here. The refurbishment has been top standard and the pub has kept all its charm and character. A very relaxing environment, with brilliant staff! A great place to read a book or get some work done....More

We stumbled across this beautifully renovated pub when our chosen curry house was shut at lunchtime. Very interesting and really different vegetarian options, great ambience and friendly service.

Friendly service and fantastic hamburger. Stopped here on the way to another restaurant that was closed. It was relaxing and clean. Not like some of the crazy and noisy pubs I've been to.

Lamb Roast, £16.00 - Generous amount of meat (although less pink than you'd hope), good selection of veg, good Yorkshire, tasty gravy, potatoes could have been crispier but it was a solid roast. Wild Boar sausages & mash £14.00 - very tasty gravy, rich buttery...More

Lived around this place for 30 years, go in everyday, food has improves ten-folds and continues to do so on a regular basis. Best pub in the area hands down !

Lived in the area for 7 years and the DofC has completely gone downhill! The burger used to be absolutely flawless is now a overcooked piece of s**t. Horrible. Service appalling. Really a shame. Definitely not coming back!

We loved the ambience in the Duke of Clarence - it was very warm and inviting. We ate there on our first night in London, and had a very good meal. My husband had the Sunday roast with half a chicken and yorkshire pudding, and...More

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and

child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to

such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Description
This is a modern British pub with all the quality and style that you would expect in Kensington, coupled with the comfort, delightful look and fine, fresh food that are synonymous with the quintessential Geronimo pub. Perfectly set in the oldest licensed building on Old Brompton Road, The Duke of Clarence was previously more renowned in the area for its brunch, burgers and bonhomie. However, it has now also gained an impressive reputation for the extensive wine list, selected by John Clevely and featuring everything from smooth classic reds to aromatic whites. Alongside a great range of beers, The Duke of Clarence can certainly satisfy the demanding residents of Kensington and beyond. Whether it's to watch the sport of the day or just watch the world pass by through the huge open windows, this is a superb spot for both stylish diners and drinkers.
