Happened upon this pub in more than one occasion. The food is good and the variety of beers is simply awesome. It's location is quite nice, and the reception is a top portion of the bar covered in beer coasters in an artful manner. This pub is quite nice, it is always lively. It can be a little loud and... Last pub of a London pub crawl me and a couple of mates did recently. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Friendly staff behind the bar, nice pints, what do you want more?

This pub is small but perfectly formed. Every time I go, there is new beer to try and the knowledgeable staff will let you try before you buy. I'm not one to turn up my nose at London prices for craft beer but the staff always tell you how much the pricy ones will be before pouring, rather than sting... More

This place has around 10 cask ales for people that way inclined. They also have 4 of the Bermondsey beer mile craft brewery beers on tap (my recommendation). Plenty of standing room outside.

Although not the largest of pubs, it packs all the key ingredients in - good selection of real ales, friendly knowledgeable staff, excellent crisps and a great atmosphere. Best to get here about 12.00 lunchtime, you'll just get in ahead of the lunch time crowd and be assured of a seat.

A great atmosphere and location. Excellent, lovely, very efficient and multi tasking staff. A wide selection of beers - craft and cask. Proper cider.. What more do you want? Yes, it can be packed but that is because it's such a great pub and the staff will get you served quicker than any other pub I know.

Small proper pub with loads of character. Love the fact that the lovely stained glass front window folds back so you can sit at the bench and watch the London world go by! Considering how busy this place seems to get the bar service is spot on. My only tip is watch the stairs up to the ladies loos as... More

This gem of a streetside bar has been here for many years and I make a point of visiting if I'm unfortunately in London. A long narrow bar with a great selection of real ale, it is as many reviewers note, a must. Good service too.

Beautiful cosy unspoilt pub. Excellent selection of beers; always well kept. Can get very crowded. For me, this is one of the "must visit" pubs of London.
