Pop in for takeaway coffee some weekends and the occasional breakfast roll when taking the dog for a walk. Food and coffee is good. As someone mentioned below, we don't have any trouble bringing the dog in while we wait (he's bettered behaved than some people's children). Other than the filthy looks we get from some of the snobby regulars... More

Not good staff rude especially head chef. Food uncooked and one staff person who I can't name was not very nice. So I won't be going back there again.

Great place for breakfast, brunch, properly cooked lunch or just a coffee. Especially the home-made cakes and pastries are excellent but all of the food is prepared with love. The staff is friendly and the interior is inviting to sit down and rest.

We stayed with friends in Royal Arsenal and they raved about the delicious breakfast, so we gave it a whirl and weren't disappointed. The staff are friendly and the decor was urban London, the food was lush. From the kids breakfast to my poached eggs and sausage to my wife's eggs Benedict it was a lush Sunday treat. The coffee... No problem bringing the dog in. Maybe three quarters full. Maybe expect to share a table. Relaxed. Speedy service from about four kitchen staff. Well used by regulars. Some sat alone, reading, social networking. Community boards. Children's colouring. Postcards. Ample coffee powder etc but also prosecco, beers, cider, iced tea, coffee. Affable place to be..

In the heart of the Royal Arsenal complex this is an oasis of friendly warmth where you can relax over a coffee or enjoy a good value meal from the freshly made and interesting menu. Definitely worth the short walk from the centre of Woolwich to find a casual restaurant with character.

This cafe exceeds expectations always…cosy, clean and a varied menu. Quite recently I worked from home when I was having some renovations at my property carried out and this was my sanctuary. The steak and mustard mayo sandwich was fresh, succulent and delicious. The service friendly, attentive without being intrusive, lots of books/papers to choose from relaxing background music. So... Normal cafe, not specialty coffee it was average, but coffee is subjective. Bacon and Egg roll was on point.

Description
The Cornerstone Cafe is based on the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. Our aim is to provide a friendly, well designed cafe catering to the demands of the local residential and business community. To us this means great coffee, a wide variety of loose leaf teas and British made cold drinks. On the food front we make nearly 100% of our delicious food in house. We've a lovely deli section which can be eaten in or taken away throughout the day including many delicious cakes. We have cooked breakfasts through to 3pm and hot meals until 3pm. We do takeaway ready meals throughout the week (just need to heat up at home. At the weekend we do Brunch throughout the day on the Saturday and on Sundays until 3pm. Our menus are on the website. Free WIFI, child friendly and always ready to help. Cafe design by Paul Croft Studios.
