5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

First came here many years ago and had forgotten about it, my loss! Returned to a very slickly run French restaurant all very professional, and very French in a Michael Mcintyre/ You tube sort of way, a bit tongue in cheek. Anyway the food was exceptional and the wines to die for, however i thought the end bill a bit... More

Got a great deal on booktable; 3 courses and a glass of bubbles for £30. The bread divine, the seabass humungous and the chocolate fondant was just glorious. The service was top class, they shined my glass - happy lass. Highly recommend a visit, especially for a bit of romance... which I'll try should I ever find a date. (Apply... More

My kitchen at home is full of gadgets. Most of which are seldom used; some only once. There's a bread maker. And look! There's an ice-cream maker. Even the Nutri bullet gathers dust. Why smooth up fruit and veg, when that's what your stomach acids are supposed to do anyway? I need to put them on Ebay or into a... More

Been here quite a few times unfortunately this time not as good as before. It was not awful but not as good as usually. Saying that the foie gras with glazed apple was delicious but the mushroom risotto was lacking flavour the cheese board was as good as ever. Service was a bit off

I used the Bleeding Heart for many years when my office was in Hatton Garden. It has always been a bit sniffy and I never expected it to be cheap. However, my visit yesterday was spoiled by poor food and overpriced wine. The spinach tart was cold under an under-cooked poached egg. Under-cooking a poached egg is quite difficult to... More

The ambience is great and the food lovely but this time the service really let things down. There were 4 of us dining and 2 of the main courses - lamb - were brought out together with the vegetables for the other 2 who were having the roast turbot. The girl filleting the turbot seemed very inexperienced and frankly made... More

For the past four years my office has held a new year lunch at the BH for about 40 people - every year it hits the spot. Great atmosphere, very good service and the food was very good indeed. A nice selection of wines too. A little on the cold side initially but it soon warned up. We will be... More

Nice place, we were in the red room for our works christmas lunch. Staff and service were good. I had turkey which was clearly cooked the day before and reheated. Plenty of it but the veg very poor, two potatoes undercooked, five sprouts undercooked and two centimetre long slices of parsnips not cooked at all. very dissapointing. Salmon starter very... More

We sat downstairs and it was noisy. In the restaurant's defence, the place was full of Christmas parties. Apart from that everything else was wonderful. The Christmas menu was perfect. Service was excellent and very friendly. The location is delightful and for visitors to London, it's worth the experience.

Poor lunch today. Arrived at 12.45, waiters all over us throughout in a half empty establishment, starter too soon, undercooked scallops, far too big serving of suckling pig which should be delicately presented. Waiters attempting to remove plates before we had finished then rushed through pudding and coffee despite us asking for time. We wanted a leisurely lunch and the... More

Described by Square Meal as "arguably the finest French restaurant in the City", the Bleeding Heart Restaurant offers modern French food, impeccable service, an award-winning "encyclopaedic" wine list and above all a uniquely welcoming ambiance in a wonderfully historic setting. The perfect Venue for a business lunch or dinner, the warm, wood-panelled Restaurant is also an ideal setting for a romantic "diner a deux": indeed it was voted by "The Times" as the City's most romantic restaurant.
