This place came recommended, but turned out to be a serious disappointment! The food was so poor, it was hard to consider it Indian! The Lemon Sole starter was great, my wife's scallops was poor, but the main courses of lamb and halibut curry were...More

Very nice raj time look, beautiful high ceilings, well spaced tables make for a nice ambience. Tired and slow service, ordinary food that does not justify the price tag both disappointed. Try Veeraswamy or Chutney Mary for better tasting fare. Don't think I would be...More

My family had a 1-night stopover in London before starting a cruise out of Rome. Since Indian food is so popular in the UK, we wanted to go to the best Indian restaurant London had to offer. That is Bombay Brasserie. We made reservations ahead...More

We used to go the Bombay Brasserie in its hay day and it was an experience. We went for the lunch buffet on a Sunday. I found the range of dishes disappointing compared to say the Indian buffet section in a 5 star hotel in...More

We made it a point to return to this restaurant since we enjoyed it so much on our first visit to London. The food is just fantastic. The Kebab platter reminded me of my youth, and my wife loved the vegetarian dishes. I highly recommend...More

Booking is a bit hit and miss. On Open Table it was not taking bookings. On arrival there was no trace of the booking we had managed to make on Bookatable as the management had not gone online recently. Attached to a hotel many, if...More

Our friends booked here as we were all staying close by. Could not fault the service, waiting staff were so attentive and every dish was beautiful. I am not used to 5 star Indian Cuisine and this was certainly up there with another in Bali....More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

What do you consider expensive? It's very good and it is London so it ain't cheap, as a treat if you want to experience a high quality curry in a great atmosphere it is worth it.

I don't think they state that it's halal- but call them. Personally I think they must have rated themselves as "one of the best Indian restaurants in Britain". In my experience they come nowhere near. They probably claim... More

Opening in 1982, Bombay Brasserie was in the vanguard of modern Indian cuisine, with an inventive approach that married classic regional cooking with a European brasserie-style menu. The spacious interior, with its airy conservatory and bright murals, extends to a welcoming bar and a more traditional dining room well suited to the affluent Kensington clientele.
