My husband and I had dinner at Giovanni's last night on the 15th of February 2017 just before seeing Rigoletto. The first thing we noticed was the sign outside the restaurant which said "My wife says this is the best restaurant in London and she is always right!". The entrance to the restaurant was hidden in a dark alley. There... More

Delish lasagne and wonderful starters with friendly service. Pino's Italian flair is a delight -- viva Italia! Keep it authentic and enjoy Italian in this treasure restaurant

I must say I'm really disappointed with size of the portion. Service was okay, I ordered shell shape pasta with broccoli and the dish was watery. After dinner I went for another dinner as portion was't filling. I the loved decoration.

This restaurants presents as a hidden treasure - glimpsed from the court - and entered through the back alley. It's interior is tiny, traditional, romantic and inviting. The owner, Pino, has the most captivating smile and knows how to make everyone feel welcome. The Italian offerings are best to linger over - whether it's the bread, an appetizer (charcuterie/cheese plate!)... More

The most amazing find. This is now our restaurant to go to whenever we visit London. The food is authentic, genuine Italian. The owner is lovely as are the staff. We had a great time and we were made very welcome. Our visit here made our weekend extra special. If we hadn't got tickets for a show we would have... More

Small Italian restaurant in the theatre district. Lot's of pictures of famous customers like Liza Minelli, Brian May (Queen) and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). Food is good and wine per glass offers an excellent choice. It's the atmosphere which makes this place stand out however. Very romantic!

I spotted the restaurant through a taxi window and was attracted to it's warm, inviting traditional interior. We had a friendly reception and were impressed by the delicious pasta and freshness of the food. We were both very impressed and determined to return

On the basis of the reviews on tripadvisor we made a point of going to this eatery. First impressions were excellent, down a Dickensian alleyway and into a atmospheric dining room. We all jumped to the main course, the overpowering Pino, took the menus away before we could complete our order. We noticed how he was barking or bullying the... More

Two days after I our visit I realise I am still fuming. We had been to the theatre with friends who, having visited Giovanni's before, had suggested it for post theatre dinner and had booked the table for 10:30. In fact we arrived at 10:20pm and were ushered to a table at the nearly empty restaurant. The actual restaurant is... More

Pino and his associates started our special theatre evening off with a smile. They are very attentive and fun to be with in this small and inviting restaurant minutes away from London theatres. It was intimate....it was fun...and it was delicious. Only complaint is that maybe the tomatoes in the Caprese salad were a bit cold and should be at... More
