I visited this restaurant with my partner on a Friday, booked in for a 6pm slot. I hadn't actually read any reviews beforehand and was quite shocked when people had complained about slow service! I can honestly say we had a really great server. We were never waiting long to have our orders taken or the food to be served.... More

To be honest, I could easily just cut and paste one of the reviews from below. I wasn't sure what to expect from an Ethiopian restaurant. I was expecting rustic, I got rustic, I was expecting to be eating with my hands, I ate with my hands, I was expecting as much incense as i Could handle, I got incense.... More

Very good food and very nice interior. Sat in the back were you enjoy a shisha! Staff is very friendly and location is ideal (2 mins from Tufnell Park)

We booked for dinner at 6.30 on Saturday and there was only one other customer in there when we arrived. We were seated and from then we started one of many long waits for service. It took about 30 minutes for anyone to come and take our order (including for drinks). Food came quickly enough once we had ordered, but... More

This was the first time for me to try Ethiopian food. I had Injera. It was very good. What really impressed me is the outstanding level of service the guys did deliver. We first sat on the ground floor, but decided to go upstairs. Once upstairs the table we were sitting on was too small for us. We did not... More

Delicious main meal food, but terribly slow service and no obvious renovation, despite recent claims on website. Starters were disappointing and just tasted of greasy oil. Bit rough and ready, probably won't rush back.

I'll always hit this place when I have a craving for Ethiopian food and need me some injera!! It's got the best Doro Wot in town! It's a really lovely place, lots of atmosphere with the African wood carvings, textiles and panels. They'll also do you an Ethiopian coffee ceremony if you're so inclined. Big fan!

I only had Ethiopian food once. It was a few years ago in a nearby restaurant. I quite enjoyed it. But Lalibela is something else. The place - which I assume - looks authentic is already quite a treat but the food is absolutely delicious. I've had lamb, which was good, but my girlfriend had some lentils dishes which were... Never tried Ethiopian cuisine before and dining at Lalibela was a really nice experience. We loved the food, meant to be eaten with hands, which was generously served, and with a unique taste, very enjoyable - not so much the white wine we had, which was definitely not one of the best I've ever tried, though still drinkable. Apart from... More

Stop reading reviews and go already, it's delicious, really. I can also recommend the Ethiopian spiced tea!
