Manicomio offers a limited food a wine menu, but the quality is always good. The staff are very attentive and there is inside and outside seating. The pricing is above average for casual dining but the restaurant is very popular and reservations at the weekends in particular are advised.

Manicomio Poco Cafe looked good and the menu seemed nice so popped in for Sunday brunch, despite the cafe only been half full and fifteen members of staff wandering around our food arrived just in time for lunch. We asked what looked like a manageress where our food was as we had already had two coffees we were bluntly told... More

We had early supper here in a Saturday evening. Beautiful cosy outside area complete with patio heaters. The service was second to none and all our waiters/waitresses were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious - We had the meat sharing plate to start with and were offered a never ending supply of soft, tasty focaccia bread. We then had... More

Looking for somewhere in this part of London that could do a table for 10 for breakfast, we ended up here because it was the only one we found that could. The first impression was very good. The room looked very elegant with some interesting art on the walls. But the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The... More

Great visit with family during the day, brilliant cocktails at the bar while waiting for the wife to arrive. Meals were tasty and served hot. Wife was pleased - what more could you need.

After a wander along King's Road my wife and I felt the need for some refreshment. We decided to stop here for a drink. Although it was a bit chilly we sat outside as there was a covered seating area with patio heaters. The waiter put the heater on for us and so it took enough of the chill off... More

This restaurant had been recommended to a friend and we had high hopes. The restaurant thinks a lot of itself - lots of attitude and a somewhat unusual building but that apparent sophistication is used as an excuse to charge eyewatering amounts for not much food. Clearly they can get away with this for some City types with expense accounts... More

Early evening, early in the week it was quiet; our fellow guests chatting and eating quietly. Our starters of bitter leaf anchovy salad and Ribollata Soup were delicious. The fennel sausage strozzapretti was full of flavour with 2 very nicely cooked side dishes of greens and beans. Salice Salentino was fresh and well priced. Service is fast and efficient, perhaps... Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
