Moro is the best restaurant experience you could find anywhere. The food is sublime, the service impeccable and, like the ambience, relaxed and unfussy. We have been to the restaurant before, have bought every Moro cookbook on publication and use them all the time so...More

This is a seriously over-hyped and over-priced restaurant. Starters: the soup was too salty and the snails were, for the want of a better word, grisly rather than tender. Mains: the chicken was under-cooked and the pork unmemorable. This restaurant is all too typical of...More

Had business dinner last night. The food is very good, fresh ingredient, lovely tastes and quite healthy. Dishes are surprising in the interest they create. Service was professional but friendly enough. Ambient is lively and not too formal. High value for money.

We had a minor hiccup with our table being given away (we were ten minutes late), and I thought ten minutes is a little bit over zealous especially as we had tried to call twice to warn them we would be running late. However the...More

I hadn't been to this restaurant for some time but there was the same lively buzz and interesting menu as I remembered on previous occasions. Service was excellent, friendly but professional, a drink was offered when I arrived early and the waitress took time to...More

Went to lunch at Moro with some friends before going to Sadler's Wells. Good food, nicely presented unfortunately the chef was heavy handed with the salt. The restaurant is very clean and the waiter we had was knowledgeable about the dishes. I would go there...More

We have been many times and food is always wonderful. Sam and Sam's research through Spain and North Africa shines through the menu. Fabulous cava to start. Crusty bread baked in house and zingy olive oil. The wood fired oven and grill bring out the...More

Eat here pretty often and never disappointed by the food or service. Not cheap but worth it. Recommended for a special occasion but vegetarian main courses are disappointingly limited.

Truly love this place, Sam and Sam really know what they are doing, exceptional food beautifully cooked in their unique and imaginative way influenced by all things Mediterranean. Squid was delicious as was the Hake. Sourdough was the very best ive ever had.

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
