This is coming from 2 complete foodies. We went to this restaurant and was warmly welcomed in so it started great! Sat down, ordered our bread basket to share and also our mains at the same time, within seconds our bread basket was here and in a couple more seconds our main course was out. How have they cooked this... More

Perfect choice for dinner before the threatre - especially Lion King which is next door. We were served quickly, as they asked if we were going to the theatre so no issues with rushing. Food was great - lots of choice, and good quality. Portions just the right size, so plenty of room for dessert! The elderflower bellini is s... More

Don't go outside the lunch and dinner peak periods. Good set menu not well executed. Just two waiting staff making for slow service. Used to be a great restaurant, but now seems average

Orso was recommended by our hotel concierge, so a group of friends set out there for a nice meal. Upon our arrival we were met by a rude host - a total clown - who refused to seat our party (7 of us) even though the restaurant was close to empty. Asked us to come back later. No apologies or... The concierge in our hotel recommended this restaurant to us for some informal Italian dining. We weren't disappointed - friendly staff and very good simple home style Italian cooking. I had chicken liver bruschetta to start followed by Sea Bass - the starter was good but the sea bass was cooked to perfection in a roasted parcel with fennel -... More

We went here for pre theatre dinner and this is the first thing they asked, they were attentive and we ordered from the set menu, the server was quick and the food excellent. The location ideal for The Lyceum. We were enjoying it so much it was 19:25 before we knew it and they rushed the bill so we could... More

Lunch as part of a group from work. Slow service - we had to ask to order drinks having been sat for 10 minutes and then another 10 minutes later we had to ask to place our food order. My meal - crab linguine was poor with very little crab and overwhelming amount of chilli. My colleagues also commented on... More

Lovely restaurant with a great menu. Husband had the set lunch menu and I had the à la carte. All courses were delicious. Excellent attentive service and pretty surroundings. Lovely intimate atmosphere. Great choice of vegetarian food - I had bruschetta, cauliflower risotto and roasted plums with sour cherry sorbet ... perfect <3

Had my brothers birthday dinner here (3rd visit) - as always the food is consistently very good. Service was a little slow but nothing that caused any kind of problem. Really good atmosphere and reasonably priced, solid Italian menu.

Orso, which has been going strong in Its chic Wellington Street basement since 1985 proves the correctness of the adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.' It looks the same as it did when we first visited decades ago. The same relaxed decor. Marcelo Mastroianni and his cinematic contemporaries look as youthful as ever in their black and white... More

The finest Italian cuisine comes to Covent Garden. Opened in October 1985, Orso is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of London's West End. From the beginning, the aim was to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Covent Garden and Orso delivers. Orso takes pride in using only the freshest and finest ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, arugula, puntarelle, porcini mushrooms, buffalo mozzarella and white truffles, when in season and sourced in Italy. But it is not just about the ingredients; each meal is prepared to perfection, served on hand-painted Italian tableware designed by Designers Guild, and accompanied by a selection of fine Italian wines. Orso is the perfect destination for the London diner, offering bustling but attentive service, a lively atmosphere and a tempting menu.
