Only had takeaway but having queued for 20 minutes expected a freshly cooked supper. On getting home unwrapped to find miserable piece of dried up cod and not many chips. Having used this fish and chip shop many times was a real and expensive experience. Wont be going again!!!

I regularly visit Toffs if I am eager for some great Fish & Chips. It is based in Muswell Hill in North London. Its a rather small restaurant/take away that has been going for many many years and the quality has not changed throughout the years. It has approx 6 tables downstairs and about the same in two other rooms... More

What a shame, Toffs should be really good it has everything going for it. The place looks great the staff are lovely but the Fish and Chips is not a great standard at all. The batter is soggy the chips too. I have up on it a few years ago but just tried it again as I want it to... More

Really enjoyed our meal at Toffs with its character decor and past testimonies to its celebrity clientele a reflection of its quality and popularity. So refreshing to find a good quality chippie in this upmarket affluent neighbourhood of North London a small premium to pay for earthy, unpretentious, fulfilling, comfort cuisine and service with a smile. Food was excellent, portions... More

First time I had dinner at Toff's was to introduce the culture of fish and chips to my closed family coming from France and the best way to describe the experience is that they still talk about it one year since. I had dinner last night and as usual nothing bad to say about the food neither the staff. Will... More

made the mistake of picking up fish & chips on a Monday night. £9.80. Cod not fresh & chips nothing like what they were a few years ago. Trading on its reputation from yesteryear. over priced and poor value.

We want to go to Toffs - we want to enjoy it - but something always makes me feel that I shouldn't go back ...... The food was fine but the environment sterile draughty. The service was friendly until the owner became involved & his shirty nature spoilt the whole experience - his general bearing of arrogance highlighted any faults... More

Nice atmosphere and great food. Friendly staff, who are helpful despite being rushed off their feet most evenings.

Door kept banging very loud throughout our lunch. It was extremely annoying. Too many tables for winter, lack of space with people wearing winter outer wear. It was difficult to see how this was the fish and chip shop of the year. My husband who eats everything and anything did not finish his fish cake saying it was stodgy. I... More
