Fantastic food and large portions! Highly recommend the vegetarian starter and the bread basket. Only issues: 1. Not sure if they were prawn crackers, but they were mixed with the other crackers which meant I was cautious to eat the other ones due to an allergy 2. The toilets are down some quite steep steps, I don't think there is... More

Went to Zaika early evening 6pm and what a fantastic experience. Beautiful building, lovely ambiance, attentive staff. Felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the doors. Enjoyed a pre dinner drink at the bar. Skilled bar staff and great drinks! To follow was a gorgeous meal and plenty of it! Yes it is not cheap but thoroughly loved the... More

Right opposite the Royal Garden Hotel, on Kensington High Street. This is a high-end indian cuisine restaurant. Great service wonderful food, relatively high prices. I really enjoyed it, but at 60 pounds for one, its on the pricey side,

Zaika will undoubtedly become a regular given its fun ambiance, superb attentive staff and above all its food. The buildings high ceiling as you walk in helps sets the tone of the experience ahead. We eat at a comfortable banquette style table by the bar and were immediately greeted and helped by our waiter. We chose to select a range... More

Zaika is a beautiful Indian restaurant with absolutely delicious food and exquisite service. We think it serves the best Indian food in London. The staff is unbelievably accommodating. We were visiting London over the holidays and were disappointed to learn that the restaurant was either closed or booked during the nights we were there. The restaurant actually opened early to... My family and I attended Zaika of Kensington on Saturday evening. We were a group of 7 people. We had previously been to your sister Restaurant Tamarind in Mayfair and thoroughly enjoyed the evening so expected the same of Zaika. Upon attending we found that the A La Carte Menu and the Set Menu differed quite considerably. We ended up... More

A beautiful venue. The food was superb. The trio of fish starter was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The mains of lamb byriani and murgh chicken were generous with subtle flavours. Service was excellent. One of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been to.

I love Zaika. We've been almost every 2 weeks since we found this gem. Everything they make is delicious and tastes amazing. No other Indian in the area compares. The atmosphere is just as wonderful as the food and the staff are so polite and attentive. Booking is definitely required and if you arrive early they have a brilliant bar... More

Went there for a dinner with my girlfriend and some friends. Ordered the set menu consisting of several indian courses. All of them elegantly prepared and perfectly cooked. Some exciting new ones. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is really lively (maybe a bit too loud?). Highly recommended!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
