Every time we come to London, we return to the Abingdon. For our wedding anniversary dinner, my husband offered any restaurant, and I picked the Abingdon without hesitation. We started with the duck spring roll appetizer which we could not share because it is so...More

Food in England has not always been to write home about. Today that has changed greatly. Abingdon delighted us with interesting menu, beautiful presented food, great taste and relaxed atmosphere. A pure delight.

A delightful quaint pub with a very warm and friendly restaurant, and one of the nicest burgers in town. This was my first time to the pub restaurant and I was very impressed by the warm and courteous service, the lovely atmosphere and the quaint...More

Recommended by our hotel, this is a neighborhood restaurant in Kensington. Casual, attractive and comfortable, the food is equally delicious. A local pilsner on tap, the Dover sole, poussin and salad made for a delicious dinner. Topped it off with a scrumptious Toffee pudding with...More

Here is a photo of the Lemon Sole which was priced at £23.75! Where is it? You may ask. The smallest main ever. Extremely disappointing😕

Lovely pub in a great location. Absolutely delicious Omelette Arnold Bennet-crime brûlée was also delicious. Very good service sat in bar area and food arrived in no time at all. Great place and not expensive.

This is a good restaurant for supper with a great atmosphere and a buzzy feel around the bar where they serve excellent bar snacks sufficient as a meal in itself. However, when I dropped in for a drink with a girlfriend mid afternoon on a...More

We frequent the Abingdon and today was no exception to the quality of food and service. The smoked salmon on crostini bread starter was excellent and the black pig pork chop with béarnaise and the sea bass with bacon bits and red wine reduction was...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

The eating area can be sectioned off I believe and it is an ideal wedding venue. Regrettably the facilities are in a basement down stairs, Hope this helps.

I don't remember seeing a child's menu. That said, we were 4 adults with a late dinner reservation and our biggest concern was that it took almost an hour for wine to be served and then even more time for the martini's... More
