Had not been here for at least twenty years and sometimes it’s nice to visit a place where little changes. We had the house specials x 3 of the steak and fries. Lovely steaks, cooked well and kept warm at your table. The fries are...More

My wife and I ate chateaubriand and fries on a Groupon deal and we enjoyed the experience. The steak was nicely cooked and the unlimited fries went down well. The meal was excellent value.

Three of us visited for a “special occasion” The service as usual was good without being over intrusive. The steaks were cooked to perfection and exactly as requested. The signature Chicken Supreme was succulent, presented with a wonderful sauce. The traditional Rowley’s Fries are simply...More

Fabulous!! Beautiful venue, beaming with ornate tiles and character. Call me boring, but one thing I loved was that there wasn’t loud music blaring constantly!! Great wine list and the chateaubriand was delicious-especially with unlimited fries! No need to order a separate sauce, because it...More

Went for my birthday meal with family. My mum brought in a birthday cake and asked if it was OK for them to bring it out after the meal and she was told there would be a charge for this so we didn't go ahead...More

Went here for dinner on Friday evening with my slightly casually and under dressed daughter on the Travelzoo offer. Really good steaks and restaurant. Had to ask for the extra fries as wait staff hung about the servery and chatted a bit too much with...More

We go to Rowley's quite often and just love it. The waitresses and waiters are simply wonderful - so friendly and helpful - the best! Then there's the food - the chateaubriand is delicious and with unlimited chips, my idea of heaven. The restaurant itself...More

St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII,
the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier
destination for high end craft and bespoke design.
Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which
indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the
establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during
a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s
Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing

Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.
