Recommend going here once in your life to experience the exotic meat. It’s better than the average rating but not good enough to be a very good rating! Fun little feature is being rung beforehand and being given a password to get in! Food came...More

Food was absolutely fantastic, however their practise of placing 6 hors d'oeuvres on your table that appear complimentary but actually add £100 to your bill leaves a sour taste.

I loved this place. The staff were lovely and their attention to detail made the evening. We had the Crickets and Zebra to start, and Crocodile and Alpaca for main. In hindsight, I wouldn't opt for the crickets, but even they were tasty enough. We...More

This is not your typical restaurant. A journey into new tastes and flavours is what you get. the décor is a cross between African, Asian and South American. The service is impeccable. We opted for crocodile and alpaca; prawns and lamb. The hibiscus trifle is...More

From getting the passcode to paying the bill we thoroughly enjoyed the unusual archipelago experience. We tried the full range of out-of-the-ordinary fodder and can reliably report it all to be well prepared and tasty. Service was friendly, attentive, well informed and reassuring. This restaurant...More

Description
If Archipelago were a film it would definitely be one of the Indiana Jones series. First, the menu features all manner of exotic beasties - locusts, zebra, crocodile and second the decor is an exotic mix of golden buddhas, dwarf palms and giant peacock feathers. The staff will talk you through each dish, but there's also chicken, fish, lamb and extensive vegetarian options. It's a great night out for the more adventurous - or if you happen to be having Ray Mears to stay.
