Nice pub. It was definitely loud and busy. Me being vegetarian, I had a great salad and hummus and potatoes. My friend had a platter of selected breads and hummus and cheese. Definitely a younger crowd. They even serve waffles !

We arrived in plenty of time (5.20) to eat a couple of courses before the opera at 7.30 just over the road. That should be loads of time but was very tight thanks to very slow courses that shouldn't have been that demanding. The waitress was super efficient, shame the kitchen couldn't match her. Food was pretty good when it... More

Wonderful bar with Belgium beers on draft and bottled and good service. Some of the Belgium beers on draft are hard to find on draft in Belgium. Given the beers on offer the unprotected black pole in front of the downstairs gents urinals must have generated Victims so take care..

The Lowlander is the classiest pub in the City and should be visited at least once by anyone who appreciates fine beers. It's menu of the best Belgian and Dutch beers would take days to work through but I'm happy to try! My personal favourite is Hercule - a fabulous dark stout. Apart from the beer the food is superb... My good lady and I had a weekend break in London and booked to see School of Rock. Across the road from the theatre is the Lowlander cafe. It wasn't our first choice as it looked busy and very pubish. We were on a works treats though would do a nice restaurant. Anyway after looking around decided to give it... More

We were a party of 8 looking for somewhere to eat, we had walked from Covent Garden and everywhere we had tried had been full. We eventually got to Lowlander and we were not disappointed! My friend and I had dinner here and it reminded me a lot of the restaurants we used to go to when we lived in Brussels. Warm, friendly and with an energetic atmosphere which comes from sitting elbow to elbow with peeps you don't know. We had steak frites and wine and it was delicious. Would definitely go agin. Enjoyed... More
