Last minute Mad Hatters Afternoon Treat for friend. Themed afternoon tea. However rather than a selection of sandwiches there was a small toasted cheese and ham, salmon quail Scott egg-really salty, Crab bridge roll, unfortunately had shell in! Cucumber sandwich was best. Waiter service was excellent. Had asked for a small celebration plate to acknowledge birthday, but not forthcoming. First... More

I bought a bookatable deal for Sanderson Hotel which included a cocktail with dinner on arrival. The food was excellent although there wasn't a big selection to choose from and the overall experience and customer service was, as usual, excellent. Highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Our booking hadn't shown up on the system, as I'd only made it an hour before. But the waiter told us it wasn't a problem and when we asked if we could have a drink at the bar first ( it was already 9pm ) he said of course and come through at our leisure. The meal was delicious and... More

Lovely leisurely Saturday afternoon 3 course lunch, in relaxed, contemporary surroundings with very attentive staff. Had the set menu (3 courses for £28 with a cocktail) which offered a decent selection across all 3 courses. Food was delicious and service was very prompt. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely dinner. We were seated in a private booth within the restaurant with no less than 7 candles on the table. The staff were so attentive and think one of the best dinners in an hotel that I have had for ages.

The food was reasonably interesting but there was extremely loud and tasteless music coming from the bar area which meant that we couldn't hear each other talk over the dinner table. It ruined the whole evening and meant we weren't incited to ever go back

I was dining with a friend for lunch and we had a set menu deal which was very good value and included a very tasty steak. We went to the infamous long bar after for a few cocktails. The food was good as was the service. I'm a regular at the Sanderson and have also found the atmosphere, staff and... More

Had a fantastic meal for my girlfriends Birthday. Mentioned it in advance and staff said "Happy Birthday " as they came up. Really nice little touch. The food was excellent, one of the best meals I'd had for many years. The Mushroom and truffle soup was incredible, steak and the salmon mains were cooked perfectly to order and the desserts... Being early for an appointment, I thought I'd pop in for breakfast. Happy staff greeted me which was very nice. I asked for eggs benedict with extras on the muffin. Unfortunately the avocado was placed on the side so it was cold. Then I discovered the salt shaker was empty so I borrowed one from the next table. It didn't... More
