This little Italian restaurant is located on New Oxford street. I have passed by it so many times but never visited it. I had their lunch deal. plate of pasta salad and glass of wine for £12.95. My pasta of tagliatelle salmon was very tasty and warm. House wine was also good. Service was efficient. Will be going back for... More

After popping into a few other west end restaurants that were totally full we landed here. The pasta and pizza were great. Caesar salad was very plain. Bruschetta was ok. The service was very awkward. After 20 minutes unattended at our table we eventually waved someone over to take our order. The server could barely communicate with us in English.... More

Had an evening meal here after having found the restaurant through Tastecard. Thought the standards of food and service were very good. We had Calamari, garlic bread, homemade minestrone and stuffed mushrooms to start followed by Tagliatelle al Pesto, Risotto alla Marinara (clams, prawns and squid) and Pollo Sorpresa (chicken stuffed with Parma ham and cheese). Great authentic food served... More

Restaurant looked very inviting, sat down but were slow to come and take drinks order. Ordered our food and then they brought up something totally different from which I had ordered. Eventually my food arrived, but my daughter had already eaten hers, as we didn't want it to get cold. Also portions very small.

So, we were recommended by our Hotel to try Giotto. Overall, food was good, nothing amazing. All of the menus at the local Italian places seem to be virtually identical. Food was done to request.. could probably have some more interesting specials or a bit more amibiance. I don't think the server understood English very well, which is odd, but... More

We went into Giotto after seeing the matinee performance of Motown the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre for our friend's birthday last Saturday. We had not booked anywhere as we were undecided what type of cuisine to opt for. We used the phone to look for restaurants close to the theatre and liked the sound of Giotto. When we arrived,... My husband and I went here on Saturday evening for a meal after seeing the show Motown. The staff were so helpful and the food was wonderful. I had the muscles and they were amazing and some of the largest I have ever had. Thank you so much for a memorable evening we will be back.

This is a lovely little restaurant with a good atmosphere and nice decor. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We ordered a pasta dish of the menu and wanted to add a chicken breast to it. Something I have done numerous times in other restaurants for dietary issues. I am not sure the waitress understood and after she went away... More

What a gorgeous little intimate restaurant! I had a lovely catch up with my friends here. The staff were super friendly and attentive! The food was delicious & such a good price! There were a range of vegetarian options & a few gluten free options too (risotto). I would love to come back again!

Restaurant was clean and pleasant. The piano player was a nice touch. One of us ordered the bread basket as a sharing starter and expected a selection of breads at the very least. However what was given was a plain sliced baguette that wasn't even warm!!!!!! Trying to spread rock hard butter onto cold bread was a challenge. Upon requesting... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
