I went along with some friends for dinner last saturday. The ambience was very pleasant as was the service with just the right amount of friendliness and attention. We had a bottle of house white (sauvignon blanc) which was ok for the price but slightly acidic, still you get what you pay for. The Lamb shank which I ordered was very... More

We had a wonderful time in this adorably hilarious restaurant! Great service, wonderful food and a location near the British museum but still somewhat off the beaten path. The mussels are a must have!

This low key french bistro was solidly good. They have two course prix fixe lunch and dinners and decent wines by the glass and carafe. Service is attentive. Mussels in pernod were crazy good. Lamb shank good. Duck magret good too. Chocolate mousse was excellent. Very affordable.

This was my first visit to Savoir Faire for a friends’ soiree and I was indeed most pleasantly surprised. In a sea of indistinguishable, corporate chains of restaurants that dominate central London this quirkily decorated independent restaurant is a little pearl. The food served at our table for 6 was excellent in both quality and presentation; the recommended red house... More

Went on a Tuesday night, but was still lively. This small restaurant serves good bistro food at reasonable prices.

Very good lunch at a price that is very reasonable for somewhere on New Oxford Street close to the British Museum.

This is very close to the British Museum so we had lunch (prix fixe) prior to our visit. We had no previous knowledge of the bistro, just came upon it as we browsed the menus alomg the street. What a find. It is a small, intimate place with great attention to presenting an excellent meal. We were offered bread and... More

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner here--one of the best of our stay in London. The staff was friendly and professional. The dinner was scrumptious, especially mussels and desserts. You can be comfortable in t-shirts and jeans here. Excellent neighborhood French food.

The waitress was rude from the moment we got there. The food was OK, but ruined by the bad service. Would not return or recommend. What was meant to be a birthday celebration was ruined by the attitude of our waitress.

Thank Des A

Savoire Fair - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays. Every dish is freshly prepared on the premises daily. "If we can't cook it, we don't have it," declares the owner, Max. There's only one thing for it; cancel The Ivy and try a little Savoir Faire.
