Enjoyed really the setting and the duck. Service was not 100% as we needed to repeatly ask for dessert and coffee. Each time they seem to forget us

It's a family run business not a chain. Much nicer than a chain. I don't like chains. If you like good French food then your like this place. They do set menus where you get to courses at lunch for £21.50 or dinner 2 courses...More

We went post theatre which is rarely a good idea in London and this place was no exception. Cold unseasoned pumpkin soup arrived quickly. Cold garlic soup was more tasty. Mains of chick pea flat bread was tasty but dry and pork belly was reasonable....More

French Cuisine Bistro style: currently running their Christmas menu (3 courses for £26+); starter of wild boar terrine and the cheese selection both suffered from Food Hygiene restrictions: too chilled to eat straight away, so bear this in mind when ordering if you are in...More

The food was good, service prompt and atmosphere cozy and relaxing. When I was there there was a two course menu meal menu. I am coming back.

I had dinner with a friend at The Savoir Faire. The décor is a bit dated but if you look beyond that: great welcome, good service and ohhhhhhh such yummy food. We were looked after and the food came quickly. The goose rillettes were delicious...More

Unless it's because of it's good location, we don't really understand why this restaurant gets such a high rating on Tripadvisor. The menu looks good but the execution is not. We had the luncheon menu of a first and main course and everything was pretty...More

We were warmly welcomed on our arrival. All the staff are friendly and very patient- we were meeting up with some old friends so were distracted from deciding on what to eat for quite a while! You really feel as though you are in France,...More

Enjoyed the pre- Theatre menu here - choice of two or three courses. Reception from patron and staff excellent. Carafe of house wine reasonably priced and very acceptable. We both had the kidney in mustard sauce starters, then followed with the cassoulet which was really...More

Yes, there were no steps however it is small, I'm sure the tables by the window and the alcove near the entrance would be fine.

They were really helpful when i rang to ask what time we should book for, and very flexible. 5.30 sounds good - but mention it to them so they know.

Three courses might be a rush in 90 minutes but they offer pre-theatre menus.

Description
Savoire Fair - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays. Every dish is freshly prepared on the premises daily. "If we can't cook it, we don't have it," declares the owner, Max. There's only one thing for it; cancel The Ivy and try a little Savoir Faire.
