Needed somewhere to eat pre-Theatre. Quite genuinely just picked Savoir Faire on the basis of Tripadvisor ratings. Was a bit worried when approaching as it looked a bit shabby and 'ordinaire' sited next to a busy road. However the menu outside looked enticing enough and...More

Our friends with whom we were dining suggested this restaurant given that it was in the area where we were meeting. This was a first visit for all four of us and is unlikely to be our last. Because we were dining early (before 7:00)...More

Eleven of my friends and I had lunch on Saturday. The service was as always: friendly, professional and they simply couldn't do enough for us. I work in the hospitality industry and will always notice little things that wind me up, however... the girls serving...More

Came here with my partner and her parents for dinner on a Saturday night. We had eaten here previously, and the food and service was excellent. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. The evening started well. We opted to not have any starters....More

Revisited about a year after my previous visit. This cute and intimate French Bistro in the heart of London keeps a high standard of cooking, with generous and delicious portions, very reasonably priced. Totally worth checking. Be sure to order one of their desserts.

Simple menu with not many choice. All dishes are fresh. I enjoyed the entrecôte. The starters were average but for the price I didn’t expect much more. It is worth it to give it a try.

Yes, there were no steps however it is small, I'm sure the tables by the window and the alcove near the entrance would be fine.

They were really helpful when i rang to ask what time we should book for, and very flexible. 5.30 sounds good - but mention it to them so they know.

Three courses might be a rush in 90 minutes but they offer pre-theatre menus.

Savoire Fair - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays. Every dish is freshly prepared on the premises daily. "If we can't cook it, we don't have it," declares the owner, Max. There's only one thing for it; cancel The Ivy and try a little Savoir Faire.
