Lunch for 5 people was enjoyable and the food was well presented and delicious. We were early, and despite the fact that the restaurant was not quite ready, we were made welcome and brought drinks and nibbles until they were ready to take our order....More

If you're in the area, visit this charming little bistro as you won't be disappointed. It doesn't look anything particularly fantastic from the outside but once inside, you'll be welcomed by friendly staff & served delicious food at a reasonable price. We went for the...More

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here, on Friday...our first time. Although all of the food and drink was excellent, I thought my wife had made the better choices. I'm looking forward to next time.

We happened to stumble upon this place and all I would say is that it did not disappoint. The ambience was good and quite quiet as we turned up with an hour to go before they stopped serving their lunch specials which end at 4pm;...More

Yes, there were no steps however it is small, I'm sure the tables by the window and the alcove near the entrance would be fine.

They were really helpful when i rang to ask what time we should book for, and very flexible. 5.30 sounds good - but mention it to them so they know.

Three courses might be a rush in 90 minutes but they offer pre-theatre menus.

Description
Savoire Fair - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays. Every dish is freshly prepared on the premises daily. "If we can't cook it, we don't have it," declares the owner, Max. There's only one thing for it; cancel The Ivy and try a little Savoir Faire.
