We found this by chance after visiting the Picturehouse cinema around the corner. Fabulous food, the Laska is a must, it's totally delicious and a huge portion. We also had pad Thai which is very tasty, fairly rich. And we had a Malaysian salad. All rather a lot for two people .....but very much a great find in central London.... More

Really enjoyed our early dinner here on a Thursday night. We had beef rendang, singapore laksa and roti canai. The roti were so flaky, soft and delicious and the curry sauce just spot on. Rendang was aromatic and perfectly cooked. We sat down at about 6:45pm and were in the room upstairs in the back so it was relatively quiet... More

If you want to visit this place, please be advised that this is the rudest Malaysian restaurant I have ever been in London. However, I have to say having tried both Rasa Sayang and here, this is the better restaurant food wise. Like most Asian restaurant I have been to anyway, do not expect customer service at all (even though... More

I've recently returned to this venue. We sometimes wait but once in ,the staff are friendly & efficent. The seating is standard for this type of eatery. Food is delicious. Sometimes they run out of certain dishes so if you want something specific ..whilst queuing ,ask them if they have what you want if it's specific. I love their beef... More

This restaurant had been recommended by a friend and my daughter and I thought we'll give it a try. I love Laksa and there aren't many places where this soup is served. The place is not very big and the tables are small. On the other hand, portions were large for the price. We went on a Saturday afternoon and... More

Was afraid there won't be a free table on a weekday evening, but I was lucky and 10 min later a huge bowl of laksa was in front of me. The rest of menu looked delicious, definitely coming back.

Bit of a find this place, tucked down a narrow pedestrianised side street at the bottom end of Wardour Street in China Town. It looks like a cafe, no frills, Formica tables and so forth, and there's nothing on the menu that costs more than about £9, but the food is really good. We were a party of 4 and... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
