This is the best indian I've been to in england so far. Nothing too fancy, nothing too crazy, just damn good dishes. Annything lamb is good. Butter chicken is charcoal and delicious.

Nice enough place, friendly but a little cramped. Food was really tricky and only for the adventurous who like stuff REALLY hot. I asked for hep - being new to Goan. Waiter was very helpful - did his best - but i still ended up with something inedible. it was their equivalent of chicken Korma but ridiculoulsy hot. i had... More

Hello, Such a shame you left us dissapointed with your choice of meal. We do have dishes with little or no chilli in them. Our Korma actually has no chilli at all. Our coconut chicken also has no chilli. Please do give us another chance I promise we will not let you down again. Our food is really not all... More

We have two babies so we opted for take away. Very punctual. The dishes were lovely and not greasy. The best Indian in London so far. I'd love to try the restaurant.

A fabulous first experience of Goan cuisine. Freshly cooked, aromatic, spicy but not over the top. Special of the day was Murch chicken, we also had Konkan style Gallina- a medium chicken curry with a particularly tasty red massala sauce, a freshly cooked Peshwari Nan- we frequently have these in other places, but this was the best. Fried chillies- a... More

Visited with a couple of friends when on a work trip to London. Restaurant was quite dark. Menu was fairly original for a curry place. I didn't eat as much as my friends (probably on my mind that I had eaten out a lot in the few weeks before that). The main course I had was excellent. Would happily come... More

Impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food here. Food was fantastic. Good service. Small but nicely done restaurant close to Putney Overground. A treat to your taste buds..

Four of us went for an impromptu supper. Early, about 6.30pm. We had poppadoms as our only starter and then three main dishes between us but with lots of veg. We had a special lamb (sorry but I can't remember exact ingredients), pork vindaloo and the seafood curry which was pretty mild. The latter was especially noted for the amazing... More

Pricey, but lovely for a birthday meal. Staff are friendly and the food is great. The fish dish was very good indeed.

Not been here for some time and the restaurant has lost its atmosphere. The lack of attention to customers and our order getting lost meant we had to wait for more than 75 minutes for our main course. We did receive an apology but it shouldn't have been necessary if someone had been paying attention to the flow of orders.... More

I am so happy to have found this local gem. The lamb shank was very impressive, as was the grilled chicken main. The ambience is lovely and the table was set impressively. The homemade lemonade is delicious, definitely recommend! The garlic naan and poppadom had a little more to be desired but that is a tiny criticism. The menu is... More

At Ma Goa Restaurant, my Mother and her team prepare their favourite dishes using family recipes passed downthe generations. Our menu takes inspiration from the beautiful palm fringed region of Goa (where my Ma learnt to cook) but also takes influences from other parts of India.Since its opening in 1993, we have won critical acclaim from many top critics & we take pride in the fact that we are a genuine family-run restaurant. Our mission has always been to serve tasty, fresh, unpretentious home-style cooking in a warm & friendly setting. Our wine list includes over 50 delicious Portuguese wines. Situated 2 minutes away from Putney British Rail & 5 minutes away from East Putney Tube it makes a perfect venue before a night on the town. We also offer a popular take-away & free local delivery service & a party catering service. We look forward to welcoming you to Ma Goa soon.
