Non-fussy, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent and reasonably priced Thai cuisine. I could eat this ever other day.

I used to come here almost once a week but since I retired I only come a couple of times a year. It's as good as ever, homely Thai cooking at a bargain price for the City. They also do a house wine for £10, unheard of elsewhere locally. Three of us had a filling meal, three beers and a... More

Went for drinks on a couple of nights with friends. Nice bar service, house ale is great. Didn't try the food. Heaters outside for smokers, ample space inside. Fun pub!

Not the best Thai food I have ever had but it offers excellent value for money and good ortions. Would like to come back in the week as we ate here on a Saturday and it was dead.

Quite a good atmosphere, although high stools are a bit uncomfortable. Food was satisfactory, but nothing to write home about.

I've been slowly working my way through the current menu (Stephen Fries Burger Merchant) at Three Compasses and each of the burgers has been fantastic. My only criticism, shared by a few friends too, is that the beef patties (Stephen's Piggy) are slightly over salty and that's coming from someone who has an unhealthy addiction to quality salt. The organic... More

The pub looked warm and inviting from the outside so my friends and I thought we'd try a few pints, however, after I paid for our drinks I noticed that I'd been short changed. I spoke to the female who I'd been served by, she went to the till, took the remainder of my change out and then walked back towards... More

Had a chicken dish with rice and prawn crackers. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. Very hot and very very tasty Prawn crackers seemed a little over cooked but didn't spoil the lunch. Good selection of beers and whisky. Cheers

Very pleasant visit to three compasses pub and then to restaurant upstairs (and then back to pub). Staff were very pleasant and we really enjoyed the food. We visited on a Thursday and the atmosphere was good.Tried the Three Compasses Ale which was very nice. Would definitely go back.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
