I booked this for 3 adults and 1 child over Easter. There was a kids eat free offer over the bank holiday, and I booked online, thinking we might have the 15.50 prosecco Lunch offer, but knowing full well my husband always has a la carte. Also it's worth noting that they say you can only have this offer if... More

My solicitor and I had lunch here. We had the set menu @ £15.50 each and two bottles of their cheapest white plonk @ £26.00 each. The food (which neither of us enjoyed in the slightest) was minuscule in portion, and I certainly couldn't understand anything I was being told or asked by the restaurant staff, which seemed to happen... Marvellous food, light tasty, Good Wine and very good service in good surroundings. 5 of us went for an evening out at Galvins. Very attentive waiters. Gave us ample time to select our food and drink. allways available and friendly if we needed anything. Could explain any queries we had about any of the dishes. We had a marvellous evening... More

On my 10 days of business in London I visited two French restaurants this being one of them. Again it was simply superb. I don't know what it is about French food but when it's done well it cannot be touched. The restaurant was packed but that didn't stop our waiter being attentive and always being there to top up... The interior makes you feel you are in a restaurant in Paris. Efficient but not friendly service, all a bit pretentious. Food tasted delicious and was beautifully presented but this was spoilt by undercooked pink chicken, which we had to send back. As a result 2 of us did not eat our main meal with the others at our table.... More

Superb food, great service, convenient location and great staff.....what's not to love? You must visit this restaurant/bistro. It lives up to its reputation, Galvin brothers.....superb. What else is there to say.....go eat there. This is really bad as it's essential that I can get a table......but you have to try this!

Rushed service. Got there 7.30. Lots of empty tables by 9 so why the rush? Not offered a wine list apart from paper menu but neighbour guests had one. Would have been happy to pay more as was husband's birthday. Food not bad although plates not hot so probs sitting around for a while. Too many waiters doing same thing... More

Came across this lovely restaurant by chance on a recent visit to London. Fixed price menu was limited in choice but delicious food all the same. Good gluten free options and they even had some gf bread. A little unexpected gem in the heart of Baker Street.

Easy to find, good location and not to far from our accommodation. We had good service, food and wine. There was a nice ambiance and lighting, very relaxed.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
