We stopped here as the sun was out and the café looked inviting. We enjoyed tasty coffee which packed a punch. Nice location and although in an extreamly busy area it is set 'in a courtyard' away from the hustle and bustle.

It was a gorgeous day, perfectly suited for lunch outside. The fish & chips were washed away with a great London pale ale. We loved both. Staff is quick and friendly.

Why don't people bring you what it says you're going to receive on the menu? I chose a burger because it said it would come with homemade coleslaw and I really wanted the vegetables. When it came there was no coleslaw just a sliced large tomato (I really don't like tasteless tomatoes sliced on my plate) which was smothered in... More

A really good reasonably priced restaurant in central London in an historic location. It is self service but a great place to eat

St Martin's now has a bit of the feel of a self-serve cafe that you may find in a work place or an airport. Since it was modernised it has lost the wonderful atmosphere that it used to have which is very sad. Having said that it is a large space and it is usually possible to get a table... More

Down the stairs just next to the church and across the road from the National Gallery. Great food, a glass of wine, not expensive and a fantastic, almost eccentric, place to eat! I love it.

If you are near Trafalgar Square or Charing Cross or the National Gallery, there is lovely hidden café under St Martin-in-the-fields. Once you are downstairs you will be in an atmospheric crypt with beautiful vaulted ceilings. It serves very good food; soup made on the premises, nice hot dishes that change from day to day, lovely cakes and biscuits and... More

Take the stairs in the glass kiosk next to St. Martin's in the Fields, down to Cafe in the Crypt. A quirky place in a fun setting, the food was a bit more expensive than you would expect for cafeteria style, but it was or reasonable quality and the profits go to the church so that helps. It was jam-packed... More

The cafe is in a crypt so obviously not modern but the food is good. We just had tea and cake but people having a meal had a really good size and it still looked appetising at 3.30 pm.
