A group of about 30 held a function here and many were disappointed. BAR I asked the girl behind the bar for a dark rum. Her knowledge of the bar stock was below anything I have encountered. She presented bottles that where neither rum nor dark. I ordered 2 identical rounds and was charged two very different prices. Same with... More

Four of us went there on May 14, 2017 for the Sunday roast and it was one of the best meals we have had in London. We all had the beef which was very tender and tasty. The veggies accompanying the dish were perfect (even if we didn't get the beetroot that was stated in the description). We love the... More

Traditional English pub, cosy & comfy but unfortunately the food was very average. Good for a drink but find somewhere else for dinner!

Great place. The food was very good and to highlight the great range of beers. And also note that the waiter who checked us in was very friendly and helpful (Jose who was Spanish).

I was exploring London for a week and a friend recommended me this nice place. Food was awesome but I really enjoy the hospitality of the crew. Specially one Spanish guy (which name I think is Jose) who was always smiling at us and very glad to help. Nice experience!

This was a restaurant close to our hotel, the royal garden. It was a great price and service was good. We had a young gentlemen who was helpful and prompt.

We came across this pub whilst wandering back to our hotel in Kensington and took the opportunity to take the weight off of our aching feet. A true little gem in a quiet back street. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. Rather expensive drinks and crisps but then it is London!

We stopped by having completed a Hidden City tour and had lovely chats with the bar staff and a complementary bottle for a birthday. Lovely room and lovely atmosphere.

Ended up here at the end of a clue quest, part of hidden city: enchanted mirror (spoilers!). Lovely little pub in a great area, bar manager was kind enough to donate a bottle of fizz to the birthday girl! Get your cheeky badow's in (pub special drink, port & prosecco) before they become the next big thing!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
