Very disappointed with both the food and the service. 1. Starters were salty to a point where they weren’t edible at all 2. Someone tried to invent a fusion menu but it all Looks and tastes like that person has no clue about combining ingredients....3. Pork chop was chewy and it was 80% fat so we had literally two bites of meat out of the whole piece 4. Halibut was overcooked and looked atrocious served in a massive plate full of something that looked like soup. 5. No change of cutlery between starters and mains, no sharing plates offered, no knives for the meat so we had to ask for everything and the look the waiter gave us wasn’t particularly expressing kindness 6. Apart from the person mentioned above the staff are friendly but not professional enough 7. Terribly overpriced for the quality of the food they serveMore

Best restaurant in Stratford. I had the halibut and I do t remember eating a better fish dish. My fault are the beef and lamb and it was all delicious.

Just returned from the darkhorse after a fantastic lunch. All three of us enjoyed both mains and deserts but I still believe my pork chop was tops. Superb food, fantastic wines and friendly service, thanks to my sister in law’s recommendation this somewhere we’ll definitely...return toMore

We have been to The Dark Horse a number of times and it has never failed to delight. The owners, Ian and Lee are incredibly skilled and provide a food and drink experience that we keep returning for. This is exactly the sort of local...restaurant that should be supported, The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is never any rush, and everything on the menu is excellent. A real gem of a restaurant.More

Really tasty food and the service was excellent - we had great chats with our waiter. Restaurant has a nice ambiance too. Croquette starter and fig & burrata were stand out starters. All 4 mains we had were tasty and so was the hot chocolate...brioche pudding! Definitely worth a visit.More

Just a small restaurant, nothing fancy about it, in a quiet area close to Stratford International and Olympic Stadium. The food was fantastic, I was totally surprised about its quality. We could also enjoy some good French wine, some Argentinian malbec was also available. For...sure a place to revisit, even if the food menu is not too long.More

Tasty food but ...Very limited Gluten Free options, portion sizes are a tad too small for the price and staff politely rush to get you out (and get themselves home) on a Sunday afternoon so don’t go if you want a leisurely afternoon!

It's very close, a walk of less than ten minutes. Dark Horse is close to the cycling veledrome but all the venues are withing short walking distance of each other.
