I came to Brindisa for the first time to meet my girlfriends for some socialising prior to the madness of Christmas. After having a little trouble finding the restaurant as opposed to what seems to be the ageing and curing room, I found my friends. In 3 degree heat, or chill rather, my friends were waiting for me at a... More

I have been here 3 times, once we could not stop due to the wait. I went hear again yesterday with my partner and again really enjoyed it. I love tastes of Spain and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant, yet friendly and not formal. The food is served quickly, so bear that in mind if you like a long... More

Went here for weekday lunch with a friend after visiting Borough Market. Would have liked to buy eats from the Market's superb food stalls, but the severe shortage of seating meant this was not an option. But a light lunch here was a very good- and comfortable- alternative. Had a glass of sherry (£5 a glass)each and shared a superb... More

Late Sunday afternoon catch up with a friend at this place, let me start with the staff: lovely and very friendly, make you feel comfortable right from start. Food: very good, meat ball & grilled chorizo (but spicy) was amazing, so was the white anchovies. As usual, small portions so you need to order quite few dishes. One thing I... More

We popped in when we were tired of walking in the cold rain. Brindisi was warm, the cava chilled and the food deilicious.

We had a amazing delicious dinner outside. All tapas were tasteful and portions quite enough. Proper wine list with special mention to the house wine. We will go again.

Delicious tapas, very helpful service, a bit of a surprise that the kitchen closes in the afternoon on a Saturday so it was only possible to have the cold tapas from the menu. I wouldn't have expected that in this busy area of London. Apart from that, everything was great.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
