Must have been here 5-6 times but not in a while. I've generally enjoyed my food here. Always decent and in many instances great. I've been to a number of other Tapas restaurants recently hence a good opportunity to compare. My view is it's still a great place to eat but choose carefully as 1) not all plates are equally... We are Spanish and this is by far the worst Spanish restaurant I have tried in London in the 17 years I have lived here. My wife and I were around Borough Market today and after eating some nibbles in the market we felt homesick and decided to have an Spanish meal. The ham croquettes were really nice. The Spanish... I love this place, it's always busy but we've been lucky enough not to have to wait for a table for too long. The staff are friendly, the food is lovely and there is a great atmosphere. Always happy to return.

I ate in this place a few days ago and I fell I can say it is a good place to eat, very close to London Bridge (and they make you pay for that, yes it's not cheap at all). I'm just a bit disappointed because I've been to Spain many times and the food I had there was much... More

Fantastic wines, reasonably priced delicious tapas. Yellow Beet salad a winner, Gambas a favourite dish to be tried... Great people watching spot. Busy. Prepare to wait if no booking!

Food was good, but quite pricey. There were 9 of us and the table really only seated 6 comfortably. Very crowded and felt rushed.

I mean, you're literally next door to Bridget Jones' actual flat here. And it always makes me feel a bit excited going Theres the cosmopolitan tedium of waiting around for 70 minutes, squashed up against other people waiting for the tables, but it's got a very warm Spanish atmosphere and the wait is soon over with enough drinks. You can... More

We visited Brindisa over the holiday period and enjoyed ourselves. We had a full selections of tapas as we were a party of six. Although we had visited on previous occasions we found the food still interesting. The prices are about right for the area. This is a very busy tapas bar/restaurant and can get very noisy at times. All... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
