The worst risotto I have ever even had - tasteless and the rice was not cooked properly. An OK house wine. On other occasion, we were waiting over an hour for the food and when it finally arrived, it was cold and the presentation was terrible. Very bad value.

I took my friend to Strada in Blackheath for her birthday as I've not eaten there for a while. My sea food linguine was tasteless, the sauce watery, and what was meant to be tiger prawns were in fact shrimps. The lack of mussels were tiny and probably from frozen. The dish was completely ruined by what I can only... More

We've not been for awhile. And it stands to good reason. Sorry excuse for pizza. Stale croutons in the subpar Caesar salad. And the breadstick platter was just undescribable! We're staying away from this place. Pizza express sadly better. As chains go.

Booked a table for 7pm on the Saturday night after a facelift. They have got rid of the wonderful ceiling globes and replaced them with filament lamps! The floor still looks bad. The sea bass was crispy with good green beans and dry roast potatoes. My risotto was a bit too salty. The house rose was very good. The polenta... More

We were surprised on entering the restaurant to find only two other tables occupied. I ordered salmon, cooked rare, which the waiter told me would not be a problem. The manager then came over and said that the chef refuses to cook it that way!! Yet no explanation was given as to why. I am used to being asked how... More

Our last visit to Strada was somewhat disappointing, although our impulse visit today indicated an improvement. Our pizzas tasted much better than expected and were of substantial size - we took advantage of the Monday pizza offer (any pizza for £5!). Service was good – the young lady who served us was bright, helpful and obliging. Vegetarian choice is reasonable,... More

Pre booked table for 4 on a busy pre-Xmas Friday night. Service was attentive, friendly, engaging and amusing. Nut allergy questions and concerns were clearly answered and dealt with promptly. Good choice of food enjoying prawns and tapas for starters with tagliatelle, chicken casa-recce and sirloin steak mains. A bottle of Prosecco was good value with the waitress skills being... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal here, in a very busy pre- Christmas week. I t was good to relax in the pleasant ambiance of Strada. We shared the Italian breads as a starter- delicious and really fresh. I had mushroom tortelloni, which was very tasty and cooked al dente; my daughter enjoyed her beautifully cooked sea bass. We drank a light... More
