We went to Al Fornos on a Tuesday after arriving home from a crap rotation offshore, we had forgot that they ran a deal on Tuesdays and Thursday for 2 steak meals and a bottle of wine for £30, we opted for this choice and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal, it was well presented and... Another year, another review for the best location in Middlesbrough for me to kick back relax and enjoy the company of a great set of staff (both kitchen and wait) This evening I enjoyed yet another meal with the "Surprise me" stipulation by letting the excellent chefs work their magic in the kitchen. My starter came out looking like a... More

We went for out tea had the two course special at about 4pm. I had garlic bread starter and the garlic butter on it tasted rancid , the wife had potato skins they were soft and floppy. We both had a parmo for main these were probably the nicest ones I've ever had but once again both lots of chips... More

Visited with my parents for an evening meal, we usually go to Fellinis when choosing an italian restaurant but we weren't disappointed by Al Fornos. The happy hour prices are great value, I had the fried mozzarella to start and the quattro stagioni pizza for main. The starter was pretty good and the pizza was excellent.

Booked Alfornos for a family meal for my sons 21st birthday. We all had a fantastic night and food was delicious & the staff were all helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

I can't recall eating in a restaurant where the starters arrive before the drinks. We were happy to let that go, but frankly we had to catch the waiter/ess' eye every time we needed plates clearing between courses. The food wasn't bad although I must say that my calzone clearly just had the contents thrown in rather than scattered...not sure... More

Another great meal, pizzas and a parmesan all excellent. This is a really busy restaurant so if you find that no-ones served you just ask (in response to a previous review who gave the experience a poor) staff all lovely, friendly and smiling.

Been here loads of times over the years and I've never once had an issue. Staff are always friendly and polite, foods always amazing and it's really well priced. Also got really nice facilities. Try the burgers when you get a chance... they're amazing!
