About 10 of us fellas went to Massala at Christmas. Really well looked after, even the 3 vegetarians. Top curry.

I was the only person who was eating when I arrived at around 6.45pm. So it was very quiet. I ordered a chicken tikka bhuna with Tarka Dall, nan bread and mushroom rice. Food was very nice. Would recommend a visit.

Was always my favourite Indian but now seems more expensive and not as good in quality in comparison to other places that have since opened. Chicken Tikka was thinly sliced. Balti nice, bit spicer than some other places. Friendly service, still do nice touches like a rose for the ladies, also do take aways which come with a bottle of... More

10 of our group chose the Massala to celebrate two birthdays. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Sajid and he soon had our drinks set up. We all chose from the set menu which had ample choices of starters and mains. The food was of a very good standard, the five or so mains ranged from creamy korma... More

Visited Massala last night for the first time. Monday and early, so not busy. Sajid recommended a meal (when I asked) and it was superb. I travel all over the world and appreciate my food. It was good and well priced. The place was friendly. I'm not often in Boro, but I'll not hesitate next time. Thanks

Visited Sunday night and not disappointed by the fresh food with excellent spices and herbs.Excellent value meal. The best in Middlesbrough. This place should be full every night. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. Very friendly staff too.

If you are sitting near the entrance it could be fairly cold. But the food is great. We're eating twice at the massala and everthing was very delicious. Service was ok but not very good.

Went on a Thursday and took advantage of the set menu for £9.80. We weren't expecting much for that price but were blown away by the quality and service. You get popadom with chutneys, a choice of starters and they were good sized portions, choice of mains with rice and a naan bread and finished off with coffee and a... More

It was so cold in here, there was a heater but nowhere near enough to warm the place. This could have been forgiven had the food been great but it was mediocre at best.
