It seemed a bit chaotic at first but then a wonderful waiter took over and gave my parents the '61st Wedding Anniversary' they deserved! Great food but the service was even better. Thank you service staff, your human touch made my parents feel really special...More

When I complained the food was cold and the meat full of gristle, the waitress said ' this dish is very popular and I have never had a complaint before', inferring I must therefore be wrong. Not a hint of an apology. As it was...More

Dear Kevin, It's obviously pretty alarming to read this, if you could get in touch by email so I can clarify a few things that would be great ecky@lastwinebar.co.uk Thank you Ecky

When I arrived for my evening meal on 28 July, I was met with a warm, enthusiastic, chatty welcome, (by Emma?) perfect for a solo diner. The waitress who served me was also interested, chatty, attentive and efficient. Great staff, a credit to the restaurant....More

Busy, as usual, but didn't think food was as good as on previous visits. Slow cooked hen's egg (poached egg??) not very impressive, main course chicken (which two of us had) was very dry - shame. Marlborough NZ Lofthouse Sauvignon Blanc was excellent, if expensive.
