Excellent little coffee/tea shop! Lots of little interesting items on the walls to look at. Lovely cuppa and an amazing hot scone with jam n cream 👍🏼 Definitely a great place to stop and recharge.

Inviting window display drew us in. Inside it's quirky and full of atmosphere. Very busy, but luckily got a seat. The Oreo cheesecake was my choice, delicious. Toffee apple cake chosen by my husband, he says it was lovely. Latte delicious, my husband had a double shot in his which was not much extra which is unusual and very welcome.... More

We visited Sherlock's cafe twice in the few days we spent in Whitby, once for afternoon tea and once for breakfast. It has a nice cosy atmosphere and quirky decor. It always appears busy but despite this there always seems to be a table free if you look for it. Staff were very cheerful and friendly and the food was... More

Went in today and ordered two jacket potatoes with piri piri chicken (wet). The jackets were devine and not forgetting the curly fries! Delicious. The service was fast and the staff (Sydney and Elle-Louise) were very friendly. Deffo recommend!!

Really OK, nothing amazing though. The place is small but there cosy. We both had paninis and coffee. The sandwiches were OK but again nothing special and the coffee was the same.

I cannot go to Whitby without visiting Sherlocks. The decor is brilliantly quirky, the food is delicious and the staff are always friendly and polite. They welcome dogs too which makes it even better!

Description
This is a beautiful tea room in Whitby. The building is amazing, a warren of nooks and crannies that wind back from the street and are candlelit. Friendly service, excellent coffe, tea and huge, delicious cakes and sandwiches. The best cafe in Whitby.
