Popped in here for a spot of afternoon tea. What a great place it turned we introduce be. Lovely homemade cakes - especially the Victoria Sponge. Very friendly staff, and yes they apparently have their own Jersey cow's locally from which all of their milk comes for making their ice cream. From cow to cone in 3 hours!! Definitely worth... Teare Woods is an absolute gem of a place. We first came here 2 years ago and fell in love with the ice cream.....and the lime and gingernut cheesecake. Brought the kids back to beautiful Whitby and were pleased to see this great place still here and still awesome!! We had 2 visits and had fantastic sandwiches and toasties and... More

We made 2 stops here in one day and were not disappointed either time! The lunch food was fresh, delicious, and made just right. Perfect sandwiches, soup not too hot, and service that was spot on. Our dog was welcomed inside, which was a very welcomed on a cold fall day. We returned for their famous ice cream and it... More

Visited with my fiancé on Valentine's Day, I had the chocolate ice cream sundae and she had Victoria sponge with strawberries and cream ice cream, top notch sweets! Highly recommend to any visitors to Whitby, cosy little cafe perfect for a break from the shops and escaping the cold.

We decided to drop in on this place as we'd promised our 4 year old an ice cream and we wanted to grab a spot of lunch. A great choice of food including homemade soup which felt like a bottomless portion and was really tasty! The ice cream cones were huge and the ice cream was delicious! Definitely worth a... More

Whilst in Whitby we were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled upon this gem. We all had ham sandwiches and they were Devine! The bread was fresh and warm and the ham was thick and tasty. It came with home made potato salad and another salad which were lovely. Sadly we didn't have room after the sandwiches to sample... More

Heard great reviews of this place and was not disappointed. Cosy place with a great atmosphere- staff were superb. Garlic bread was fantastic as were all 6 of the Tapas dishes we ordered. Topped off by their homemade jersey ice cream. Great valentines night. See you very soon

As an ice cream fanatic,I just couldn't resist, even on the most cold wet miserable day I have ever spent in Whitby!.We did succumb to the meatball and cheese sub to start which was delicious,as a dessert we opted for the hot fudge cake and ice cream, marvellous !.
