My husband and I visited Rustique to celebrate our anniversary. Food selection and service very good. Our visit was spoiled by a large group of men sitting close by. The noise from those men was totally unacceptable. We decided to leave after our main course....We were asked if we wanted to be moved outside to the terrace. We said "yes". Sadly, we will not remember the restaurant for its food but for the noise!!!. What was supposed to be a celebration was more like get them in, feed them and get them out!. Obviously management are more interested in profits than the comfort of their customers. I believe the men should have been moved outside and not us. We were not the only customers who were moved outside. Sadly, we will not return although the food was excellent.More

Only had a simple lunch of French Onion Soup and coffee. Nevertheless, service was excellent, soup very tasty, price very reasonable. Would go again if and when in the area.

Four of us decided to have dinner here at the last minute. They were full and when we explained that we really wanted to dine there they went out of there way to find us a table. They managed to put us upstairs on the...patio by moving a table into a little nook. It worked perfectly and our waitress was amazing. They had a great wine list and when I didn't care for my original choice she brought me another glass and didn't charge me for the first one. The food was wonderful from our appetizer to our desserts. Yes, I said desserts! We shared three and they were perfection!More

Two of us went for an early Saturday lunch and ate on the upstairs terrace which was very nice. I had the scallops to start and although they were good I was disappointed they were served on a slate. I’ve no idea why chefs insist...on using slate as it’s awful to eat off and puts me off going back to that restaurant. My husband enjoyed his frogs legs. I then had the tuna which came nice and rare just as I ordered. I felt the service was very rushed in that the waiters were almost removing our plates before we finished. And one of them argued with me when I said I don’t like eating off slate, he insisted it was fine.More

We booked well in advance of our trip to York, so glad we did as the evening we dined it was full. We were offered a table downstairs, but this was by the door, or upstairs, we decided it sit upstairs as thought we might...get chilly downstairs. It was very busy and quite noisy upstairs, not the quiet ambiance we had expected. However the staff were professional and attentive. Iced water was brought to the table along with bread and olives. Drinks and food ordered, it wasn’t long before our meals were brought to the table. The food was delicious and piping hot. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.More

Wednesday night visit and La Rustique was busy. Service was still great, quick, efficient and friendly. The food was fab. Had the set menu, Pate, Duck Confit and then cheese, all very French and very delicious. Couldn’t fault any of it and would highly recommend....A nice touch was that they automatically brought iced water to the table.More

I’m afraid I don’t know as luckily we don’t have any intolerances but I’m sure if you telephone the restaurant they will help you. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it
