Stopped at the Little Shambles Tea Room for some dinner after a long morning shopping on The Shambles. Lovely little place to sit and look out onto the cobbled street while enjoying some lovely food. Staff were warm and welcoming and excellent value for money.

Worst scone I have ever had I'm afraid. Went with my daughter recently as we were visiting York for a few days. Staff were lovely but felt like you were in an old aunties house which they had just scattered a few tables - didn't really have much character apart from being old. The tea was nice but the scone... We came here for breakfast before leaving York. It is a tiny cafe in the corner of the Shambles market with only 3 tables downstairs and 4 or 5 tables upstairs. I had the full English breakfast which was completely delicious and excellent value for money at £6.50. This included a locally sourced sausage, bacon, egg, baked beans, grilled tomatoes,... More

Very reasonable prices and really good service. The little shambles tea room is in a really good spot but can be hard to see because it is very small. Also I found out that the building is over 500 years old which is fun to know. Really recommended this place if you're looking for somewhere to have lunch!

Great location! But when I visited, the second floor are was not open. What a pity! Will pay it another visit for breakfast and scone.

This quaint little tea Room is ideal for a coffee break or full English. They also have a trailer catering van attached outside, ideal in the summer. Food excellent, value for money at the trailer, and right in the hub of the shambles market! An experience in itself.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here while Christmas shopping in York. Will definitely be going back! The room is very nicely decorated and the staff were very welcoming.

Just off the Shambles, reasonably priced with great tasting coffee. Service efficient and friendly, and the tossed tea cakes taste nice and cinnamony. Would have been a 5 but it was a little chilly upstairs.

We were looking for somewhere to get breakfast to start our day in York and stumbled across this nice little cafe next to the Shambles Market. There were only a couple tables downstairs, but enough room for us and our little boy in his pram. I had the English breakfast and my partner had eggs and ham. Both were spot... More
