Great range of cakes and drinks was so nice :) went as a family and there was plenty of room outside too. Interesting building on city walls.

Great little coffee shop. Very unique and historical setting inside an medieval tower. We sat in the dungeon which looks out over the river. Wonderful service by very friendly staff.

Fantastic little coffee shop housed in a Medieval Tower now with loads of seating by the riverside which is superb in the summer. The coffee/tea has always been spot on, and the cakes are incredible. Special shoutout to the Smartie cookie bar, Malteaser Tiffin, Salted...Caramel drip cake and the Brownies - they’re all absolutely delicious. It’s well worth the visit for them alone.More

I really enjoyed my trip to the Perky Peacock this weekend. I had a toasted sandwich and a flat white and the flat white was maybe the best I've ever had. The bread on the sandwich was quite special too, some kind of local sourdough...that's quite addictive! I sat on one of the seats by the river and watched the world go by for an hour in total peace. I did order inside though and the place is so cosy and sweet, in a medieval round tower that screams history! I loved the personal touches in the service and am looking forward to another trip this week to enjoy a bit more of this special little place.More

Slow service. Food was bland and overpriced. Managed to finish a cup of tea before our food turned up. First and last time visiting. Avoid!

We only called in here for a drink as it was hot and we thought it would be enjoyable to sit outside and drink it whilst watching the river go by. We enjoyed the drinks but what was especially good was the wonderful friendly and...attentive service we received. I would definitely recommend a visit to this coffee shop - especially on a lovely summers day.More
