Leading the Independent coffee shops / cafes / establishments of York I reckon. A real asset to the city and great stop off on the way to the station or on the way back to home.

Four for coffee and bite found us inside in this historic tower which is very nicely done out in an informal way. The Capucicinos and Flat Whites were perfect and the cinnamon toast crisp but succulent too. We will return.

Taken here by DD as it was her local cafe while working in York. Quick, polite service and lovely food. I'd definitely recommend the Perky Peacock. Excellent toasted sandwiches and delicious flapjacks.

Read all the reviews but still didn't realise how incredible the food is. All I had was a London fog tea and a peanut butter cookie but....wow. Absolutely gorgeous. Freshly made, tasted like it came straight out of the oven. And the best London fog...More

I had avocado toast for breakfast which completely changed the avocado game for me. It was mind blowing. The coffee was delicious and they played great music there.

Stumbled upon this place as we stumbled into York. Tried the Hipster sammy which was good and a Flatwhite which was great, a vast improvement on London coffee! Returned the next day for coffee and cake.

Hi Alice, We don't reserve seats, we just run on a first come, first serve basis. If you arrive before 10.30am, there is usually a free table for 2 free. In terms of price range, toast is the cheapest breakfast item... More

you'd struggle to get 10 people in this very very small cafe as it is a turret on the end of a bridge, however as for the phone number sorry no idea other than contact York tourist information if it's not correct on the... More

Small speciality coffee shop serving some the UK's best coffee. Locally sourced food, homemade cakes from our bakery and all packed into an 800 year old tower under Lendal Bridge, York. Everything available to eat in or take out. There is also a new Perky Peacock by York st University on Gillygate, York.
