Came for celebratory meal after end of exams. The soup (mushroom) was amazing, one of the tastiest things I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The drinks and food selection wasn't extensive but still had no trouble finding something to suit us both. Service was good although we didn't have one specific server which would have made it 5 stars.... More

We recently visited this excellent restaurant for evening dinner. It's was our wedding anniversary so went with our family. We had a lovely evening and the food was excellent, well presented and flavoursome. We were initially disappointed as their was a limited option for those none red meat eaters and when my wife chose the chicken she was subsequently told... More

Took the family with a young child into the restaurant and the staff were very accommodating. The service was fantastic and the food was brilliant. Large portions with great flavour, and plenty of choice to choose from! Rump steak was amazing and at a great price. Will be returning

Had an impromptu dinner here on bank holiday Monday. Despite the business of the restaurant, food arrived quickly and perfectly cooked. In particular the Moroccan Lamb dish was exquisite, and huge portion sizes which satisfied everyone! The lemon tart had a strong lemon flavour and was delicious combined with the sorbet. Unfortunately the Bouillabaisse had run out over the long... More

Can not fault/criticise the place. Great service, Kristina was our waitress, she in particular was excellent.

Food is always good at le bistrot Pierre, the lamb is worth a try. Lovely food in a great place, decor and service is good. The only downside is that we usually have to wait around 10 mins even though we have booked a table. But well worth the wait.

Our 'go to' restaurant for any special event from birthdays to treating good friends, to simply needing an indulgence or cheering up! The menu, clearly French, but using high quality local produce. Delicious for lunch or dinner or Sunday lunch, and an excellent children's menu too that does not insult the palate and provides interesting occupation for younger guests. Our... More

Staff are always friendly without being intrusive - and they don't seem to have a big turnover of staff which hopefully says something about the way the place is run and the way they treat their employees. We eat out a lot but this is definitely our 'go to' restaurant in Nottingham when we have guests and ponder that question,... More

A lovely French restaurant. We visited on a Saturday night, on arrival there was no mention of my name on the reservations system despite booking 2 days beforehand(very annoying). We were soon found a table upstairs thankfully. The restaurant was really busy, it had a lovely buzzing atmosphere. The service was good and the food as expected was excellent. The table... More

Everything about this restaurant makes the dining-experience special, from the excellent food - this was the best rump steak I have eaten in a long while, cooked to perfection, really succulent. I also tried the Normandy chicken - I'm not usually a great lover of chicken in restaurants - which also was exquisite. The service could not have been friendlier,... More

Description
Bistrot Pierre's 'raison d'être' is great value French cooking and seasonal menus. We like to combine French bistrot classics such as steak-frites, boeuf bourguignon and tarte au citron with our own take on regional favourites like tarte flambée, Bouillabaisse and paté de campagne. Our relaxed and friendly bistrot is the place to go for any occasion. Our Nottingham bistrot was the first to open its doors in 1994 and is located on Milton Street, right in the heart of the city centre. Open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner we have something for everyone, from the two-course prix-fixe lunch for £10.95 and a two-course pre-theatre menu for £14.95 to the sumptuous a la carte menu, and for those with little time we now also offer a one-course lunch menu for just £9.50. Wander through our distinctive French wine list too, with over 20 French wines sold by the glass you will discover something exquisite to drink with your meal. For something a little special we also host a range of events at the bistrot. Join us on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month for our Soireé Gastronomique, a six-course set menu with hearty provincial cooking. This is outstanding value priced at £22.95 per person. In addition, we also offer a special Dine with Wine evening where each course comes with a glass of specially chosen wine. This takes place on the first and third Wednesday of every month, so join us for a delicious two or three course set dinner menu for £22.95/£27.95 per person. We want to make sure there is something for everyone on our menus, whatever your dietary requirements. That's why you'll find plenty of delicious gluten-free dishes as well as a child-friendly menu on offer to help make your experience in our restaurant as easy and enjoyable as possible. If you love what we do and are looking for the perfect present, give the gift of French dining and order our gift vouchers online.
