Six of us had dinner in this restaurant on the Monday before Cheltenham . We had 2 courses and a few different bottles of wine To start with there was a good potential selection of wines at sensible prices but for the reasonable prices wines we managed to pick 3 different whites and they had only one bottle . A... More

I have had a meal in here some while ago, and whilst it was nice, it wasn't a wow for the money However having dined this Monday, it has totally blown me away! The service was outstanding, with friendly but not interfering staff with great attention to their guests The food.... wow the chefs extras are amazing, and everything ordered... More

My family and I have stayed here every year for the last four years. The restaurant always serves an excellent breakfast, and the bar does excellent food too (come at the right moment and you might get to sit by one of the log fires). My wife and I dined in the restaurant this evening and it was superb. The... More

We were staying 2 nights at the Bay Tree Hotel in Burford which is next door to the Lamb and we had been advised to eat there. The recommendation was absolutely right and not only was it fine dining but probably one of the finest meals we have had for sometime. Not cheap but really excellent - recommended.

The Lamb had been recommended to us for a nice country lunch, so we showed up without a reservation and were seated in the bar after about 20 minutes. The menu was interesting, and the food was nicely presented and very tasty. Unfortunately though, our young waiter was utterly miserable. It was as if every interaction with a customer was... More

Can be perceived as overpriced however if you visit the the High Street eatery's then you will appreciate this Restaurant and its choice of menu. We booked at the last minute (9 persons) and the waiter was welcoming, knowledgeable in relation to food and wines and very attentive. We would definitely eat here again.

Didn't start well; my wife tried to book a dinner table for 6 and a deposit of £10 for each was demanded. When she refused, she was put through to the manager who ranted about no-shows and ticked off my wife for interrupting his flow saying she wasn't interested about their problems and just wanted to reserve a table. We ate breakfast and dinner several times in the spring. The kitchen makes excellent food and the service was as good. Fine dining experience.

Our 3 AA rosette cotswolds restaurant is located on a quaint side street in the heart of Burford, famed for its sheep fairs of times gone by when our historic hotel, was once a collection of weavers cottages. This history teamed with our outstanding food and friendly service makes for a great location for lunch or dinner in Burford. Fine dining is where our Chef shines and we have an inspiring tasting menu with wines to match that we know you're going to love. Indulge in seasonal plates of food that celebrate the fantastic flavours of our local ingredients whilst relaxing in an ambiance that is both intimate and homely. On Sundays, join us with family and friends for a traditional Sunday lunch, nothing fussy, just good food done really well.
