My fiancé and I visited this restaurant on Saturday night and were really disappointed. We were not served very quickly despite the restaurant not being full on a Saturday evening. We had the special starter of melted mozzarella and pepper pesto crocchettes. Despite the Zizzi website stating that we do not serve scrimpy portions we had two very small crochettes... More

Went here for a catch up with my daughter and her boyfriend. Service was incredibly slow, even thought the restaurant was far for full. Waited almost an hour for our starters to arrive, and then only 3 out of the 4 turned up! Long wait for the mains to arrive, which were delivered by an annoyed and rude waiter! Another... More

I booked a table here for my husband and I to have lunch on a rare day off before we had to collect our son. when we arrived at the restaurant I informed someone that we had a table booked for 1pm to which he said they were not open for another hour with no further explanation, so I asked... More

At Zizzi on a Friday night, but with two large groups in, service was very slow. Not an hour's wait as we were warned, but still slow. Food was very good, however, when it came. My friends hugely enjoyed the salted caramel brownies!

Revolting, filthy bathroom, slow service, would never ever go back. Waiting staff indifferent and non attentive. Lots of items from menu not available. Just all in all a bit crap.

We were waiting for staff and for food. Food itself looked and tasted like canned food. Pasta was overcooked, meat and mushrooms were invisible. My wife asked for wine and got no advice at all.

We went with 20 fiends to this lovely Italian restaurant. The service was great, the boss of the restaurant was a kind and a really nice person. I ate the pulled beef & Vinson strozzaperti, it was delicious! And all the other dishes I saw, looked all amazing. I will come back, no doubt about that!

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Located on busy George Street, Zizzi Oxford is close to the bus and railway stations in the centre of town and in the heart of the theatre and cinema district. The restaurant itself is heavily influenced by local legend C.S. Lewis, writer of one of the most popular books of all time, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Silver birch trees referencing the forest scenes from the book and lighting features alluding to the snow drops in Narnia welcome diners. So, whether it's for a business meeting, a family get-together, a party or a romantic meal, the team at Zizzi in Oxford looks forward to your visit. And if you’re celebrating something special, see if our private dining area is right for you.
