Mother's day lunch and all is good. Great service, decent food and it's in Oxford of course. A set lunch menu but enough to suit most tastes.

Two course lunch and galss of wine very satisfactory. I mischose on cassoulet as it was excessive and not enough going on in it, but dioubtless good for m,e. The soupe du jour was pleasnat and the service excellent. Sharing was not what i had in mind but it seated 12 or 13 and the people who came and went... More

We had a lovely sunny night so great views and delicious food. I had bought the Groupon voucher so got £61 off which then allows you to choose anything ( note cannot be used in conjunction with set menu). We had pigeon and pork roulade and salt cod to start with and then beef and ham hock and all were... More

Took my mum for a birthday lunch pre-booked for Saturday. Lovely atmosphere, sun was out and it was light and airy. Menu was limited, the 3 of us ordered mains my beef casolet was small (and I am not a big eater), tasty but expense at £17 even by Oxford standards - I only live 10 miles away so regularly... More

I really enjoyed the exhibition on "Degas to Picasso.!" Afterwards I popped into the rooftop cafe for a pot of tea for 1 person it cost £3.68. The teapot was filthy the chair and wall by me was stained and grubby. The marks would come away with a good clean. Not really impressed I try to find a positive but... More

Four of us had a pre-exhibition lunch on a wet and windy day but it didn't spoil the great view on the top floor. We chose the set menu at £19 for two courses which was good value for top-end bistro food. Had a nice bottle of El Muro Spanish white wine @ £19. The service was a little haphazard... More

Visited last Sunday with husband, really crowded but staff made an effort to find us a place (not reserved). Menu didn't have that many choices but what we ordered we really enjoyed.

The menu initially has some options which are vegan friendly, which were nice but they seemed to be lacking in much flavour. I know that vegan options are a bit awkward but just adding a bit of spice would have been nice. They did supply a vegan dessert for me, which I did appreciate because few places do, however it... The Ashmolean is an amazing place to wander around. There is a cafe in the vaults but if you venture to the 4th floor their is a rooftop restaurant. Serves coffee and cake, lunch from noon and beautiful evening meals. We went at lunch time, had fantastic soup with gluten free bread. Service was excellent, could have asked for a... More

Spent a lovely evening at this restaurant. Good food, great setting but best of all was the quality of the service. Nick, our waiter, was attentive, helpful and charming. I arrived very early ahead of my companion and Nick went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Would totally recommend dining here, especially if eating alone.
