A nice local English pub with great pub grubs. Chicken and kidney pies + cheesecake and 2 beers cost around 33 GBP. The kitchen closes at 9, but the bar opens until later.

Friendly, accommodating, great garden, happy atmosphere, good pub food, great owners, lovely for kids, we have been here many times and it has never disappointed. Local Ruskin students and surgeons from the JR are regulars. The grub is very good pub belly-filling. It's great. Opens on Christmas Day lunchtime for a couple of hours with just perfect hospitality. A classic English pub. The range of beers was superb when I visited and all of them in top quality condition. Must mention the pies, which are superb. This is the best pub in Headington, hands down.

I visited this pub last night with 2 friends. We originally booked for 7pm but rang to change it to 8.15pm which they said was fine. We arrived slightly late (8.20pm) to he told the kitchen was closed. I had chosen this pub due to its good ratings on trip advisor and was very disappointed to be turned away

This pub is within shouting distance of my workplace is the preferred spot for leaving do's, parties, and general drinks - including a favourite of students of Ruskin College. The pies are classic fare and you will be sure of a warm welcome, and quiet drink. If you are lucky you will be lulled by the bells of St Andrews... More

I have spent the last week with my poorly daughter in John Radcliffe Hospital. Ronald McDonald house is fantastic, but sometimes you just need space, a friendly welcome, great pub food and a great pint A 5-10 minute walk from the hospital and we got all of the above A great pub

Love the white Hart really cosy little pub. The food is great especially the pies. Good variety of pies and beers on hand pump. The beer festival in may is also a winner
