Well I almost choked on my rocket. It came with a mushroom thingy which was particularly bland. The meal was interrupted by workers coming to check the alarm system which had a comic farce appeal with the men carrying their step ladders in and out. But the sea bass was excellent and the Hoegaarden wonderful. Waitress Maria was nevertheless the... More

My go to restaurant in Reading. Food is always of a high standard. Service is good. Nice to use the outdoor terrace overlooking the river in summer. The tables are quite closely arranged, not experienced a problem with noisy neighbours but potential is there.

Romantic atmosphere with friendly staff and very good food and wine. I would recommend the steak. The fries could have been better

Had a wide choice of menu..some of the potion sizes are a little small considering how much some of the prices are... come on LSB ! Stop being so tight !! I had the liver... which was nice. Service was ok... music a bit loud for a business chat !

Lovely ambience and friendly wait staff - we had an upstairs table overlooking the canal with twinkly fairy lights decorating the balcony. Food was excellent as was the service, had a great time.

Pricey but worth it. Sat out in the sun by canal for a business lunch - steak was great and staff were friendly and attentive even though the place full. Definitely want to go back for an evening meal.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with our visit. Toilets had paper towels spilling over the bin over the floor. Waitress was slow and we had to ask to have our plates cleared. 2 out of 6 oysters were very poor quality and should not have left the kitchen. My fish was very dry. Not bad for a steakhouse but this restaurant... More

The restaurant is located at one end of the Oracle complex. Easy to find. The décor gives the restaurant a sensation of a high quality establishment, which it is. The staff are great, very friendly and attentive. They helped us choose the dishes and suggested a nice wine. We had a booking for 5 people, we sat downstairs on a... More

I get that it is a la carte but does the amount you get have to be so small. I paid £13.50 for a scallops starter which had three tiny scallops and some salad. For my main I had sea bass with the vegetables hidden under the single fillet. Why the four stars? The food was really tasty so that... More

The London Street Brasserie is the second award winning restaurant by owner & proprietor Paul Clerehugh. Opened in 2000, next to the river Kennet in the heart of Reading, the London Street Brasserie has won both critical acclaim & Michelin recognition & has also been voted restaurant of the year. Lovingly called the LSB by regulars & locals, the restaurant has become a firm favourite in the area & a must visit for foodies. Serving local produce to the highest standards this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
