Great food at a decent price. It's always where my wife wants to go after heading to the park when we're in Sheffield. Super friendly staff and fast service.

Had lunch special and fish. Chip portion very generous and fish size good. But too much grease came with fish and made batter soggy.

It's always been clean, friendly and decent fish and chips, favourable compared to rest of Sheff. My wife was unsure about the fishcake but that could be a regional thing, new to the north she is.
I've been a customer of the Abbey Friar for many years now and although it's not the cheapest it does ( in my opinion ) the best fish and chips in Sheffield. You get what you pay for when it comes to quality.
