Visited with some friends yesterday (Easter bank holiday Monday) for lunch. Beautiful Georgian building with different dining areas on split levels which have been tastefully decorated. The room we were sat on the left would benefit from a fresh lick of paint. The food was gorgeous. I had devilled mackerel to start with kohl rabi slaw, the flavours were fresh... More

We luckily found Gascoyne Place during a recent visit to bath. We ate the fish and chips, haddock perfectly cooked yet with the batter beautifully crispy which must be really tricky to do... The spring vegetable casserole was also very good as all the ingredients were properly done without any being either mushy or underdone and the herby dumplings were... More

Ate here the other day with my husband and friends and ate the pan fried chicken with garlic mash. It was delectable, along with the service we had I couldn't have chosen a better place to eat, right in the heart of bath! I'll be back for sure!

My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch after arriving in Bath. He had fish and chips while I had an open faced salmon sandwich. Both were very good and you get a decent amount of food for the cost. We did not have any alcoholic beverages, but they were definitely a popular item. Server did a great... More

Went here for a meet up with family and lunch. They only seemed to be using the little mezzanine floor, which was quite crowded. Food was not as described on board out side. Was very mediocre. All food dumped on plate, no separate dishes for vegetables, and was at best ok. Not terribly hot, and beef was very very rare. Did... More

I've only been here previously for drinks. It was my first time eating here. There were about 30 of us last night. Staff were on it, polite, friendly despite all the requests and they catered really well to everyone's dietary requirements. Food was excellent. Staff were excellent. Speed of service was just right. Definitely would go back.

This is a lovely little place - the risotto was amazing and the staff really friendly. I had the buckwheat mushroom risotto with beetroot creme fraiche, which was delicious. The decor is lovely and the staff too.

Visited Gascoyne Place when I was in Bath in March 2017 for Sunday Lunch. The restaurant was busy, which we felt was a good sign, we were seated quickly and did not feel rushed to make an order. I had the Chicken Roast and my partner had the Beef...neither of us left a bit of food on the plates- it... More

This was our first visit to the Gascoyne and it was a disappointing experience. There were eight of us and we had pre-booked. We were shown to a table in the 'basement' which was a low ceiling, drab and unwelcoming area, with as many tables squeezed in as they could possibly manage. The dining area was not conducive to a...
