A family member lives nearby and had heard good things about this lively pub/restaurant a short walk from the centre of town. It is a bit crammed inside and as it is so popular, it is essential to book. The food was indeed excellent -...More

Best roast beef I have had in ages - cooked rare and well rested so the end result was soft and succulent. Accompanying vegetables were perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and full of flavour. The serving of gravy is not that generous if...More

Visited after looking at trip reviews. Lovely gastro pub. Wasn't busy but well worth the 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre. A large carte menu or tapas. We had 2 tapas as starters. Squid and prawns then had steak to share. Served originally with...More

Just popped in here on the off chance, as I was passing, and was blown away by the standard of food. Immense attention to detail in flavour as well as presentation. All three courses were equally flawless, the quality of the ingredients obvious. Service was...More

Seem an awful lot of work has been going on backstage at The Ring O’ Bells recently. We took a peek at the refurbished cellar, and were duly impressed by its gleaming white vaulting and shiny new floor, off which I would willingly eat my...More

The Ring O Bells has long been a favourite of mine, but recently it has ascended to a higher echelon. Head Chef Dave Giddings is an exceptional chef, and though I live very nearby I choose to eat here because the quality of the food...More

Description
Situated in Widcombe, very close to the centre of the famous spa City of Bath, the Ring O Bells is a two minute walk from Bath Spa railway and bus stations, and close to Bath Rugby and Cricket grounds. Most definitely a locals favorite serving seasonal food using locally sourced ingredients, the Ring O Bells welcomes you with a warm, intimate atmosphere. A wide selection of beers, real ale from Moles of Melksham and international wines are available, along with delicious and varied menus including everything from generous tapas with homemade bread to Sunday Roast, plus a la carte fine dining and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. You'll find live jazz in the bar every Sunday evening, and events in the separate upstairs function room, which is also perfect for your private parties. This country feel gastropub with flagstone floors and large tables is a great place to meet with friends and eat good food at any time of the week. Adjacent to the River Avon and Kennet & Avon Canal, and close to Prior Park Gardens National Trust land, the Ring O Bells is also an ideal stop off point while exploring Bath.
