We generally don't respond to reviews as feel opinions on food, ambience and service are subjective, however, I felt it important to address a couple of your comments. Firstly, your table was booked for 7.45pm and you arrived early. I advised upon seating that we...More

Friendly staff, great food and amazing red wine. Loved all dishes, especially the Salmon with horse radish ice cream! The restaurant is just a 5-10 min walk from the centre, passed the train station, so not hard to find. I recommend the Merlot ;)

We were visiting the area Saturday to visit relatives, they took us here for a drink. Really nice pub, very friendly. Food looked good. Would visit again if in area.

Visually interesting and imaginative flavours. Good value in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Helpful and friendly staff. We liked the concept of "tapa" sized starters that allowed us to try more diverse flavours. Loved the squid and the "death star". Online booking worked well.

Situated in Widcombe, very close to the centre of the famous spa City of Bath, the Ring O Bells is a two minute walk from Bath Spa railway and bus stations, and close to Bath Rugby and Cricket grounds. Most definitely a locals favorite serving seasonal food using locally sourced ingredients, the Ring O Bells welcomes you with a warm, intimate atmosphere. A wide selection of beers, real ale from Moles of Melksham and international wines are available, along with delicious and varied menus including everything from generous tapas with homemade bread to Sunday Roast, plus a la carte fine dining and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. You'll find live jazz in the bar every Sunday evening, and events in the separate upstairs function room, which is also perfect for your private parties. This country feel gastropub with flagstone floors and large tables is a great place to meet with friends and eat good food at any time of the week. Adjacent to the River Avon and Kennet & Avon Canal, and close to Prior Park Gardens National Trust land, the Ring O Bells is also an ideal stop off point while exploring Bath.
