A quiet Monday evening, but cheerful service and excellent food from the interesting evening menu. All very flavoursome and beautifully presented, including an unusual veggie choice.

Many things are great about this place, but whats remarkable is the staff, cheerful helpful and kind! I loved their food and the bath ales, went there twice in one week. The place could use higher music!

Been coming for years and see it's now no longer Bath Ales pub so no discounts for Bath rugby season ticket holders Good limited lunch choice - but had amazing liver and bacon with stunning mash and gravy last weekend! Went well with local pale...More

Really good food in a very nice (camra) pub. Great for beer and a snack! The menu is varied, with good specials. Missed 5*s by being a bit slow! Recommend the terrine!

Ticked away in Queen Square, this small pub serves good Bath Ales in a lovely Georgian building. It also serves food upstairs, which we didn't have on this occasion. The staff are knowledgeable about the ales, which is encouraging. It's a bit dark, but seems...More

Visited for a few drinks on a Saturday evening. As per previous visits the atmosphere was great, excellent quality drinks (Bath Ales range was good including some darker beers - not often the case in other establishments during the summer), and the staff (especially Chris)...More

In past years when staying in Bath we have always enjoyed eating here, so, for the first night of our holiday it was a natural choice. The downstairs bar was as usual lively and the beer as always good, unfortunately it was the dining experience...More

Interesting menu - would give it try. We did not eat but enjoyed several pints sitting at the bar. Bartender knew his stuff about beers and about the selection of gin. Great snug interior. Lovely way to spend an evening.

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
