Set on the edge of the square off North parade and just moments from the Abbey Allium is a venue in The Abbey Hotel. A high quality restaurant with good views out. The food was a wonderful mix of new styles well cocked, the staff attentive but not pushy. Cocktails in the bar beforehand were great. Overall a wonderful location,... More

Ate from the valentines menu which was really good, and great value for a lovely meal. Couldn't work out why it was so quiet at the time we went but a very nice restaurant, in what seemed a nice hotel. Not pretentious and a nice place for a relaxing meal.

Beautiful food and service with a smile. The restaurant is decorated very tastefully. We had the set menu which offered wonderful choice. The soup was delicious and the salmon main (substituted with cod) was cooked beautifully. The broccoli side is also fab and highly recommend.

Visited on Saturday 11th February and Alium were serving their four course Valentines Tasting menu for £55 per person. At first when we walked in at 8pm the restaurant was extremely quiet and did not seem to be very atmospheric!! Immediately we were a bit worried, but luckily the noise level seemed to pick up. The wines are varied in... More

My first visit to this Bath restaurant and very impressed, recommend it and I will definitely return! We both had the Valentine's Tasting Menu, which started with cauliflower veloute with poached scallops, beautifully smooth and very tasty - This was followed with pan fried Bass with shaved fennel black olives, confit tomatoes and alioli, very well presented and again very... This low key, stylish restaurant is offering a quality, cooked to order, 3 course set menu, that includes highlights from their a la carte menu, at a price to rival any chain eaterie. Baskets of delicious homemade sour dough bread and complimentary mineral water, set the standard for what follows. Seared Mackeral, meltingly tender Pork Belly, almost rare Pan Fried... More

The Allium has been a favourite of mine for 5 years now. The food is very close to Michelin star standard and is very reasonably priced and beautifully presented. Staff are excellent and friendly, and the 3 course set menu is amazing value for money. If you don't want that, take a single course or snack in the Art bar,... More

We went to the Allium for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. We were greeted very warmly and he service shined throughout the night. The restaurant was not particular busy but this didn't effect the overall ambience. The food was, without exception, fantastic. The menu successfully mixes contemporary cuisine with some great standards. The quality of fish dishes was... More

We were greeted by two lovely waiters who seated us straight away Service was fantastic throughout The three course meals we had were perfect in sizing and the flavours were all beautifully balanced out and complimented each other. Real fine dining! The dessert (chocolate Kirsch) was to die for! Lovely restaurant, great service Definitely worth a visit!

The tastiest meal i have eaten this year! Faultless service in such an atmospheric setting. Absolutely love the eclectic decor of the restaurant and hotel. Even on a quiet week night the restaurant felt inviting and fun.
