We were in Bath on holiday and looking for Indian food. The Eastern Eye didn't disappoint. The room was like a large cafeteria, but the murals added to the atmosphere. We started with the poppadom and pickle. I had a veg thali and husband had lamb currry. The food was delicious and perfectly spiced. There wasn't a large selection of... More

Booking was made by phone the night before our visit with Mr Choudry. I requested a table for two ideally in a quiet corner of the restaurant. Upon arrival we were allocated a nice corner table. Before we sat down we were asked to move to another table; it looked ok so offwe went. We pursued the menu and five... More

The place looks like it could do with a bit of a facelift which is a shame as there is so much potential. Felt a bit like being in a school canteen or fast food place with all the tables crammed in one large space. We were there late on a weeknight but imagine it could lack any kind of... More

Definitely worth a visit. Impressive building once inside and a very good curry. We visited in a large group (17) and were really well looked after by the staff. Always very busy which is normally a good sign.

Visited on the spot around 8pm on a Saturday night. We were told to wait while they prepared a table as it was full. Within 10 minutes we were seated. The restaurant was incredibly busy and noisey and unfortunately had a couple of very large groups who clearly were worse for wear. Anyway hunger drove us on. We were greeted... More

Visited The eastern eye tonight and after a dubious entrance into a ballroom I was blown away with the tasty food. Service was exceptional and the curry which was recommended by the waiter was the best I have tasted. On the must go back too list!

First time here, delicious food and really tender meat. The staff were so friendly too. We've eaten in lots of Indian restaurants throughout UK this is one of the best, we'll come back next time we're in Bath :)

After ascending the stairs from the modest street entrance, you are greeted by a beautiful restaurant in a magnificent Georgian room. We ordered from the lunchtime menu and the food delivered was delicious. The staff were attentive, albeit in one or two cases rather abrupt. However, a person who I took to be the owner, was friendly, jolly and helpful.... More
