Had a lovely pie in this pub. Choice of pie great accompanied by chips or mash and different gravies. It all was delicious. Bar man very friendly! Would definitely recommend.

A great find just round the corner from our hotel. A good range of bitters and ciders plus all the other usual characters. We didn't eat here ( well I don't think s bowl of chips count!) but the food we saw along with the aroma, I'm sure it's fab. Staff really really friendly and knowledgable on the area. If... More

This is truly one of the best remaining traditional pubs. in Bath: neon-free, real beers served with friendliness.

lovely pub with he faint whiff of a tourist trap, the beer/cider was first class. As with all the other pubs in bath the only food they seemed to do was pie, which was ok nothing special, but the beer and cider where first rate,

Great atmosphere, nice people, and excellent hard Apple Cider. Close to every where you want to be. My husband enjoyed his pint. The locals gave us helpful tips and local chat. Enjoyable overall

Simply a delightful pub! Serves the best beer and prides itself on 'pies' on the menu which are delicious. We visit each time we come to Bath. Definitely one of our favourites. Enjoy sitting upstairs and watching the world go by.

The staff where very friendly and helpful. the service was a bit slow but given we were visiting on the Easter bank holiday Sunday, I wasn't that surprised. Food was great, the chips in particular where Devine. Definitely recommend!

Very dissatisfied with the ploughmans lunch/ for a pie specialist you'd expect a wee pork pie. No apple - one bit of bread - it's basically a cheese salad also small tea in a cup with two wee cartons of UHT milk! !!!! Really? I don't understand why this gets "Best Ploughmans Lunch in Bath".

Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry you were disappointed with your ploughman's, that is not the usual experience. I have pointed this out to the Kitchen and we will make sure that it doesn't happen again. Everyone's interpretation of a Ploughman's is different and part of the reason that we don't include Pork pies because we like the Ploughman's... More
