Really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant on 12.1.17. The food was very tasty and we were unable to eat all that we ordered. The service was very good and the cost of the wine was very reasonable and a great selection. The layout of individual booths is a nice touch. This has now become a favourite curry house when... Our favourite Indian restaurant had closed down so we thought we'd try the Bengal Brasserie. We were all impressed and went back for a second visit. The food was great and the service was very good with nice friendly staff. On our 2nd visit they even made something for me especially that wasn't on the menu...the sign of a good... More

Me and my wife were visiting Bath on a little mini moon as we had just got married on NYE. It was our last night and we chose to eat at Bengal Brasserie. What a great decision. I can easily say it was the best madras I have ever had. All of the food was delicious, we had starters and... More

After my best restaurant, Raj Poot. closed, I thought I would try again my old favourite Bengal Brasserie.Lunch time visit, 2 other diners. It looked nice and bright, the dated small booths, had been repainted. Very extensive menu, with items not found in usual Indian restaurants. Ordered mixed starter, Onion Bhaji,{2}Pieces, Tikka chicken{2} and minced lamb kebab{1} Good value. Onion... More

This is a quiet, small, quirky restaurant, quite intimate with small private booths. It had a decent menu with some unusual dishes on it.Four of us had starters, mains and drinks came to around £90 .All in all it was a decent meal and good service.Give it a go.

Excellent lunch time menu and very reasonable. Evening meals also good. Service has always been good when we have visited. Will always visit when we need a good curry.

To be fair, the whole town was heaving being Xmas market weekend and every restaurant was packed. The staff did their best but were overwhelmed by the amount of customers. The wait for service was incredibly slow and the restaurant was hot and claustrophobic. The food when it arrived was OK/ average. We would prob not visit this restaurant again,... More

In terms of atmosphere I felt I was being taken back to my youth in London in the 80s discovering Indian cuisine for the first time. But whilst the interior and style of service is very dated the food is surprisingly good. Far from being drenched in grease and oil our dishes were light and natural.

Whilst visiting Bath we were looking for somewhere for a reasonably priced lunch and came across this restaurant offering a lunch menu. As it is down stairs and can't be seen from the street, we went downstairs and were pleasantly surprised. We found cosy booths all decorated in a pleasing blue colour. The staff were attentive and the food was... More
